I couldn't tell you mate, there's very little out there on them. Sure there is a bit of tech info but its people's thoughts, opinions and experience that interests me.
What surface did you run those pirellis on? Tarmac?

yes, im pretty sure they are the same tyre, bought from rob day on here.
yes ran on tarmac as did a few of the lads i was at totb with.
ran the tyres both years and they were pretty good.
also used on the road in the summer great until it cooled down and got damp.

Dmack tyres are something I'd love to get/try from what I've read they are good Tarmac tyres so I can only guess you won't be unhappy with them.

There's some dunlops on here https://www.scoobynet.com/wheels-and...0-640-r17.html albeit they maybe too big for your requirments due to you running 16s?

Ask bez, I'm sure he can advise you, he was talking to me about some tyres he was running that cost a lot of money but are the best he's used, can't remember the name of them though as we were drinking lol

Tubs - were they track day variants or a rally slick?

Busta, I've actually got a set of the dunlops here pal in 16's doubt I'll be using them, just considering my options

Yep Rob84 has them on his Hatch STI as his summer tyres, I think he rates them highly. If you pm him on here he'll give you the ow down on them I'm sure.

Not the rally's slicks that I'm looking at. It's really hard to get info on these dmacks.
I'd love the views of someone impartial

The last few years of manufacture of Dmack DMTRC were road legal. Not that many rally drivers care, but driving from stage to stage on public roads require road legal tyres.

The only real difference between Dmack DMTRC and Pirelli Trofeo is the side walls on the Dmack are strengthend to withstand side wall debris, knocks, and prevent tyre roll over.

Here's a link to some Pirelli's I sold which are the same spec as Dmack

That sounds about right, the trouble with "track purpose" tyres, is that they require a reasonable amount of heat in them to get anywhere near the substantial benefits of having an expensive tyre over a regular road tyre. There still a good tyre in damp conditions If, and a big IF, you were able to get the required heat in the trofeo or DMT tyre on road. If you've been lucky enough to have them on track then you'd see what I mean.

I burnt up some A048's in 2013 TOTB and to be honest they didn't do it for me at all. It was a glorious day, but the asphalt just killed the tyres resulting in some poor times. I've not tried either trofeo or Dmack on asphalt, but this is the purpose they were made for...

One killed a048
