Default 17s, Spacers & Brembos.

We all know there is a fitment hurdle when it comes to 17" wheels and Brembo brakes. I've currently got a set of P1 OZ wheels ET53 (iirc) so I've gathered that these wont fit without changing something.

Technically if I run a 5mm spacer it will take the ET down to 48 like the standard STi wheels so these should then fit. Has anyone ever actually done this, and if so did it then cause rubbing issues? I'd ideally like to keep these wheels as they are the right size for a classic and there ain't many 17" Revos up for sale either.

All I can tell you is that I use 15mm hubcentric spacers and my 17" wheels (215/40 tyres) and I have no rubbing on the front ,not done the rears yet.

I needed to use a 10mm spacer to clear superleggera's with Brembo. Ran that set-up for 9 years without issue.

As you correctly stated - 5mm spacer (made sure it is HUBCENTRIC) on your P1 WRC wheels will give enough clearance for Brembo's and you will still have enough meat on the Bolts to screw the nuts onto........

Get it done you ******!!!! - you know you want to!

You cant use hubcentric spacers with the wheels if they originally have the correct centerbore.

He's meaning make sure the 5mm spacer isn't just loose sitting on the hub and that it correctly sits around the center bore.

My only gripe with this was if I widen the front track by 5mm will I not need to do the same at the rear?

17 or 18 inch? As im looking to buy some 17s superleggera's to go onto my type r but wasn't sure about clearing the brembos.
Other option was18inch p-wrc the p1 gold wheels but they are the same offset so would probably require a spacer too 😕

Any pics of your car with the spacers fitted. I'm thinking about 15mm on my type r with 17" ST2 wheels.

My rear arches have been rolled (so I'm told) but have no idea if that makes any difference to how the wheels stick out.
