Not had it for nigh on 2 1/2 - 3 years now... red UK classic. Lovely looking car, wondered if it's still on the road

Yeah I owned it from 2006-2008 and sold it to a tall lad called Jamie when I lost my previous job. Any pics in its current guise? I spent a lot on it keeping it nice and tidy and it was well known as one of the tidiest classics on here.

What's the current spec?

Wow, been used since I had it

I sold it in June 2008 with 142,000 on the clocks. At 70,000 it had a replacement engine and turbo under warranty (was a company car that you'll see covered 22,000 miles within 9 months of it being new). I had the gearbox changed in January 2008 as it went boom down Tesco at 135,000 miles. Was replaced with a fully reconditioned unit from API as you'll see. Suspension is KYB gas adjustable shocks with Eibach springs and front/rear Whiteline drop links too. Exhaust was 3" Nur Spec but think it is a 5Zigen now iirc. Had updated Alpine front/rear speakers, head unit etc and Forge recirc valve.

Wheels were P1 wheels (Oz Racing 17"). Performance creation mudflats, samco and Autobahn88 hoses under the bonnet.

Also had lots of paintwork done after a minor crash in 2007 (guy bashed into my drivers door so scratches etc). Big thread on here about it for pics.

Before I owned it a couple owners back, it was at 300bhp but was returned to standard by the time I bought it. I never had it mapped etc so was standard power on standard ECU.

So engine will be approx 120,000 old, gearbox 55,000 old and suspension 60,000 old

Standard power, standard clutch I'd say. I fitted an Exedy I think with the new gearbox.

still runs spot on but the clutch need doing its 3/4 up befor it bites and is slipping on boost so will a standed clutch be ok then

It didn't have the tinted rear lights, boost gauge, ssqv, td05 turbo, remap, uppipe, boost controller, remap etc. Now unless the engine was rebuilt again after I sold it then youve been lied to regards the forged pistons. It's a standard rebuild, good for circa 330bhp as is the gearbox

At that power I'd buy an updated clutch especially with the bigger turbo. Exedy organic at Camskill is circa £260 for uprated.
