Huge group of imprezas on M27
Hi all.
decided to take a trip to bournemouth yesterday and on my way down at about 9/10am IO saw a type R and smiled to myself (sonic blue - very clean).
I was cruising along in a black S2000 so didn't expect any recognition only to see what must ahve been another 10 imprezas in front and a few stranglers behind, no question it was an arranged meet.
I was hoping you were on your way to bournemouth and I could come say hello, but it didn't happen as you all turned off.
Hope you all had a good day and did brighten up my journey, just wish I had been in the other car to say hello properly.

We also went down to Bournemouth yesterday in our standard WR Blue Bugeye but earlier and the driving was good. Passing through Rownhams at about 08.15-ish, there was a blue classic shape with big spoiler and "WRX" sticker on back, then a silver bugeye pulled in alongside. I had overtaken the blue one a few minutes earlier going past Eastleigh on the M3 - gave him (and lady passenger?) a big wave.
Anyway, had a great long day in Bournemouth but not very nice coming home. Started back at about 20.00 but traffic was looked at a standstill ahead on dual carriageway going out of Bournemouth, so dived off and detoured via Christchurch and A35 to Cadnam. Shortly after rejoining M27, some young chap in a black hatchback lost control somehow and did a high speed S-shaped swerve from middle lane over to hard shoulder and back across traffic to slam into the central reservation. Looked like he had attempted a sudden change of lane (there was a hell of a lot of that going on) or he had a blow out or got shunted. Driver and passenger OK thank goodness - they got out immediately - and it miraculously didn't cause a pile-up (at that point). Good job I had a sixth sense and hung back in the slow lane well back from the tailgating lemmings in the fast lane. In fact it was mad all the way back to Basingstoke - the sun has made the lemmings even more stupid than usual.
Wish now I had gone back via Salisbury and my favourite empty Roman Road.

MMMM!! could have been me in the Blue Type R - I was heading down to the New Forest round that time and do remember "pootling" in the left hand lane - mine has bright gold wheels and a rather large Fujimoto Titanium Exhaust.
don't worry bout not being in a Scoob - usually wave back at anyone who waves!!
