Default I have £3000 and I want an Impreza !!

EDITED!!!!!!

More money now available (was £2000, now £3000

.................................................. ........................

Hi all,

I'm looking for a decent project car for up to £3000.

Must have:

A turbo engine
Classic saloon body
V5 logbook - MOT - TAX (or the ability for me to tax and drive home)
Good condition bodywork, (please be honest with your descriptions)
Good running engine and drivetrain

Must not be:

A sport/Non-turbo
A wagon
Anything but a classic
Rotten
Cat A/B/C/D (or any letter of the alphabet)

I am located in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, please let me know where you are located roughly to start with.

Now, after looking at many cars I know what £3000 will not buy me, I understand I will not get an immaculate 400bhp limited edition 1 of 1 show car but I would like a good solid base to build on and get back into the fold.

If you know of a car or have one yourself to sell around my £3000 cash sum, please either post here, PM me or email to v5_man AT yahoo.com , with as much detail as possible, pictures are also great too

Thank you

Cliff

I`ve been thinking on "Maybe" selling my Scooby..
I would have let mine go for £2500, Nothing less I`m afraid..... So, it`s £500 over your budget and I`m way up in Aberdeenshire.... So, probably not ideal for you. (But, with what comes with the Car, IE - APEXi PowerFC + Commander, APEXi AVCr Boost Controller Recently Mapp`d and Set up by Andy Forrest, accompanying Engine Upgrades... All wrapped up in a rare Impreza being Version 1 RA and "Red"...

It`s a Version 1 Type-RA, But with documented Engine upgrade to Version 6 Type-RA (All receipts present for all upgrades totalling over £6k)....Spec and details are in my garage.

She also has 11 month MOT and 5 Months Tax....

No worries if my Scooby`s not your cup of tea and good luck in your project..

You know what Phil, your car is superb and for that money it's a steal!!!!!
But.... I had a red early classic once and I don't really want to go back there again, I was thinking of plain old boring silver, maybe black, could be blue, I should have mentioned it in my advert but I forgot!!!!
Sorry to waste your time but thank you for the quality offer

Its ok... no such thing as wasting time when it comes to buying a Scooby.. You have to be sure it`s the one you want....

I would probably have regretted selling if I had let her go I think...

I've got an eye open to Cliff but no joy as yet, there are some nice early clean cars about we just have to wait for one to present itself.

Hi, I have my car up for sale at the moment...

https://www.scoobynet.com/subaru-444...bo-2000-a.html

Ok, it's over your budget a fair bit, but i'm open to serious offers and I don't think you'll find many better condition wise.

You need to come and drive mine mate, I don't mean to experience the power but to see how it feels after a skyline I wish you'd driven mine before I put the new engine in because it was the sort of power you're aiming for

That helps a lot mate. Give me a call when you're awake tomorrow and in the meanwhile I'll see what I can find in that new budget.
