Bare CDB block (damaged or not)
Hi guys
Looking for one of the above for a 2.35 conversion. Bore condition is not important, as long as the block itself has no stripped threads or any other kind of damage. Oil squirters preferred.
Cash waiting!!!!!
Cheers

By the time you pay for a block (£300-£350), have it linered (approx £800-£1000) and rear thrust converted (£200), you'd be better off just buying a 2.2 CDB straight off. Would be stronger than a linered block too.

I will be doing all the machining myself. Being a precision engineer/tool maker in my previous career and still having access to the workshop means that the machining costs will not be a factor.
However I am interested in the EJ22 as I have heard they are stronger. It would certainly be less hassle and more reliabale than a linered EJ20 CDB. I've been told the liners in a linered EJ20 CDB can drop a few thou from the block face after a few heat cycles causing gasket failure........... not an option. But I believe I have a remedy for that.
Let me think about it...............
