I know this has nothing to do with the Scoobs but thought I would give it a go.

Looking for a 1.4 Si Nova engine, don't matter if it's a bit tired as its going to be re-built and put in me race car.

Hi mate,

I assume you mean the engine for an SRi. These are the only sports models that were made with a 1400cc engine. The SR's were all 1300cc.

There is a GTE engine and a GSi engine on http://www.dixonsvauxhallspares.co.uk/. Click on the car boot sale link on the left hand side.

There are also 1400cc engines on http://www.vpsc.co.uk/select.html you could also try putting a wanted post on www.novaload.net or contact Vauxhall breaker Colin Smith on colinesmith@netscapeonline.co.uk.

Maybe I have been informed wrong! The engine will end up in a Nova, for a race car, and people have been telling me I want the 1.4 Injection engine, bigger ports or something like that....... would this be the 1.4 SRi?

Forgot to mention, Can only go up to 1.4! (Because of rules)

Yes, I used to have a 1.4SRi Nova a few years back and they are very good for tuning compared to the carb models.

This is hence what a lot of people use for rallying, my mate built one too.

Not that many SRi Nova's were made though, so good luck. You may be able to find from a Corsa or Astra too, but they aint all the same.

 

I'll keep an eye out for you mate and let you know if I find one local to you.
