There were two versions for the MY99/00 cars. The earlier versions were updated IIRC with the improved 'green dot' version. These were reported to last much longer if not cure the problems people had with MAF's going lean/failing. Some people changed MAF's regularly but missed the fact that their induction kits or mounting method was actually causing them to fail - some people had cold air kits that mounted without vibration damping and transfered the forces directly to the MAF. Some oil filled filters were also to blame for failure as they contaminated the MAF element.
