I have a Dawes device here from a mates car but he lost the spring inside it. If you want you can replace the spring iirc i'll give you it for FOC.

As long as a replacement spring isnt hard to find, then that would be great mate, if you PM me then we can sort out postage details, etc.

To be honset not sure how easy it would be to replace the spring.
