Posted this in your other thread, but thought I'd put it here too Some people say the 16v is more nimble than the VR6...
I have a Mk3 Golf GTI 16v that I may be interested in selling.

Koni adjustable suspension
17" DTM alloys (2 x brand new Toto T1S, and 2 x Falken ZE-512)
Remus s/s exhaust

Pioneer OEL CD Player

RR'd at Star Performance (19 Oct 2002) at 170.5BHP and 149lb/ft
Not looking for a p/x for a Scoob though as I have something else in mind.

Mark, I see you finally decided to go with the Corrado over the Golf? Good Idea m8, I think you will be pleased you did, also, a Corrado storm is well worth the extra cash for the nice leather interior and the clever paint, (the blackberry is my favorite), but they were mechanically identical to the normal VR6, so no faster. That lovely big three lt V6 motor is so torquey low down its fast enough anyway!

NB, for the record, the standard VR6 Corrado produces 190BHP/5800rpm, the standard Golf VR6 produces 174BHP/5800rpm.
Therefore the Corrado has a power to weight ratio of 156BHP/ton, against the Golfs 145. The Corry churns out 180ft lb/4200, the Golf 170 at the same revs.
The Corrado is slighty heavier, at 1237kg against the Golfs 1220kg.
Oh, and as I said before, the storm versions of both cars are mechanically identical to the standard models, just the paint, wheels and interiors are different.
Just wanted to clear that up!
Edited to say, Mark, the milage on these cars is almost irrelevant, 100.000 milers are commen, with no problems at all, provided they have a nice big book of regular VW servicing.
