Some Improvements On My Spec C
My car is up with Ryan (Prodriverules) at present for some paintwork and other jobs that have been bugging me for quite a while, here are some pics of progress so far.
Remove cr@ppy HID's and fit Osram Night Breaker bulbs in dipped and main beam.
Remove Perrin oil catch tank plus all the plumbing, and replace with a 3 port Impreza specific OBP catch tank with red silicone hoses plus relocated to bulkhead from front of engine.
Swap the earlier STi steering wheel for the later type in line with other jobs being carried out inside the cabin.
I have to say that that I'm very impressed by Ryan's work and you could do a lot worse than entrust your car to him.
I will list the full list of these improvements later on today.

Eventually Simon, I hope.
Yes I did thanks, I picked up the small bracket that goes under the centre heater vent for £10 off a breaker on eBay.
I did try and order from the dealer and even gave them the part number but they weren't interested in the slightest and quoted me nearly a month lead time. I usually speak to Justin @ Keith Price Garages but he was on holiday and his stand-in was about as much use as a chocolate fire guard.

There is one off a Spec C for sale on here for around £200 but there is no difference to the standard STi steering wheel, just make sure you get the clock spring off the car with it.
Personally I don't like the earlier STi steering wheel one bit, the later design is far better.

Everything I have read says so and no complaints from Ryan or warning lights, I picked this one up for £130 inc delivery from Rob Day.

Here is a full list of the jobs being carried out whilst the car is off the road (although more jobs may get added).
Centre console conversion in matt black, with JDM red hazard switch
Forester single din pocket in matt black
Kenwood BT92SD radio/cd/bluetooth/iPod-iPhone-Android
dock/USB/Parrot hands free
Steering wheel swap
Genome Defi boost gauge on steering column
Remove rear tints (as poorly applied and more bubbles than an Aero) and new tints in rear windscreen, rear doors and slight tint in front doors
RCM cooling panel in matt black
Front AP Racing calipers are being changed from black to red in colour with white AP Racing logos applied
Front bumper to be changed for a WRX (correct for MY) item (and altered to suit the APS FMIC) with a HT Autos front splitter and a Zunsport lower grille in black
Headlamps machine polished to remove the milky residue
Paint repairs to both front wings (due to some strange parallel scratches which mysteriously appeared from nowhere some time ago)
Paint repair to the NSR wheel arch due to the paint cracking possibly due to a poorly carried out repair for minor damage at some time in the distant past
Removal of S204 carbon fibre rear spoiler, boot to be de-holed, repainted and a JDM A Line rear lip spoiler fitted
Small Kaylan mudflamps to be removed and replaced with larger Kaylan mudflaps
Paintwork to be machine polished, plus the interior and engine bay professionally cleaned.
I think that is it, some of the above I have just let slip but when I get it back it will be back better than ever.

I believe you need the clock spring that should be on the wheel as they might be steering wheel specific (although like I have said I am no expert but I believe this to be correct).

Nearly forgot I have also ordered a Cobra rear silencer to replace my Milltek one as I prefer the look of the Cobra silencer, it should look like this:
Plus I am hoping for a nicer sound as well.
