Upto 8k to spend. What to get?
Hi all,
Ive been looking at buying a new car for a while now but i can't decide what to get. I dont know whether to go deisel with 170bhp like the golf gt tdi 170 so its best of both worlds by having plenty or torque, power and great on fuel, or do i go for something abit more fun like 54plate civic type r with low mileage, clio 197 that can return 30 ish mpg with mixed driving. My dream car has always been a subaru impreza sti type uk ppp BUT it the running costs as usual as the fuel keeps on going up.
Any input would be great. cheers

buy the subaru, only going to get higher so fill the craving while you can!
and they need a service every 12,000 miles so your looking at a service every 6 months (providing you do it at every 6k) places like scoobyclinic or you local can do it for a reasonable price and you can go for main services to subaru garages.

lol i wish my choice was as easy as that, i only do about 8 miles a day so it not that bad but i got to think of a car that i will keep for a good few years for its reliability, decent fuel economy etc

Ive Had a black Fabia VRS Diesel for the Last 18 months and i cant wait to get rid il be totally honest, in all the time ive had the car there has been issues somewhere.
Cracking performance though and can get 500 miles on a tank, just a bit loud engine wise, not the most refined of cars tho
just my 2p
