i know the car well, it was owned for a long time by a guy i know, who sold it on to another guy i know who was looking at getting back into rallying but he sold it a few months back on pistonheads to Paul. that is a very sorted Mk2 escort, stunning to look at and drives awesome.

A mate of mine Brian Lee brought the car as a new build gp4 and sold it to Paul Swift off of Russ Swift when his msa license was revoked

Ah so you know brian aswell then. i was chatting this week to greg john who originaly owned it (then sold it to andrew veal had it about a week) then it went to brian. then paul came and bought it off brian. Im sure that a week after it went, the msa sent brian a new competition license even after telling him he wernt having one!

Brians 205 was recently for sale again on one of the web sites for £18k iirc. considering what it cost to build, its madness! Steve Oleary has the other bussa 205 (the silver one jeffery's had, which funny enough was my road car when it was a bog standard white 205 and when i was finished with it, went off to be converted) and is doing quite well in it at the mo.

We must move in the same circles then, Im Les Skeets son-in-law, service crew, nav and work for Tony Rees in Autospray.
