What Tyres??
Right guys im in need of 4 new tyres ready for the "summer", the thing is, I am very fussy about tread pattern. I love the Parada tread but dont like the ones that go from the center out like some Toyo I have seen. I am seriously considering a set of road legal Maxsport Intermediate slicks.
Please express your opinions.
Many thanks

For summer/trackday tyres I use Dunlop DZ03's very hard wearing compared to Toyo R888 but equally impressive grip in dry and wet conditions.
For all weather road tyres I'm using Goodyear Eagle F1 which I find very prodictable on the limit with good grip in wet conditions. The side walls could be a little better as I find roll they slightly but I'm not sure what loading rating the current tyres are.
I'm switching to continental sport contact 3 tyres on Friday with high load ratings. These have had mixed reviews but supposedly have excellent wet weather grip, so I'll see how these compare against Eagle F1's.

Pity they don't make the Eagle F1 GSD3s anymore but there is a rumour they're starting again!! I'll probably try the Falkens as mentioned or Eagle F1 Assymetrics

The dunlop SP Sport Maxx I had fitted before was also very good and would recommend these also.
Don't bother With Toyo T1R/T1S's they are rubbish, It would appear those recommending them haven't tried any premium brands. Peolpe seem to forget that Toyo T1r's are classed as an high end budget by most tyre places.

I'm running kuhmo's on my winter wheels and they are like driving on ice. I'm not after anything too grippy as you said. Paradas were very predictable which was great but they are on back order and everywhere is strugling to get them in???

Fitted the conti Sport Contact 3's about a month ago, Very good so far, miles better than the F1's, I wasn't as impressed with the last set of F1's I had, they just weren't as good as the 2 sets I'd had before, me thinks the compound or manufacturing process has changed

Sorry to interupt a thread but my tyres are due for renewal soon aswell but what i want to know is do people change their sizes from std.
Mine are 215/45/17 but are there any benefits in going up to say 245/45/17 i've also been told that camskill are about the best to get them from but has anyone tried tyreshopper/blackcircles or e-tyres ?

I would say the 245 is way to big for you and to use 225/45/17 instead
Camskill are very good. Budget £10 per tyre for fitting.
mytyres are very good also, Found black circles expensive(even with club membership discounts etc)
The last two sets I've got from Kwikfit, They price match online retailers but you have to print off and take proof. Have at look at there online prices also. I had 215/40/17 continental Sport contact 3's fitted 6 weeks ago. They were £180 per tyre instore but £111.20 in there online shop + £40 fitting
This was £2 per tyres more expensive than camskill and i couildn't be arsed to sit in for delivery so ordered from Kwikfit.
Just make sure they jack the car up on the correct points. but thats another story
