Default engine failure on my sti what to do

compression down on 1 cylinder smoking, oil coming throgh induction kit just before im selling it :-( typical been told its more likely to be a valve burnt exhaust?? any ideas????

It could be anumber of things to be honest, either way the outcome is not good which will end up with some kind of rebuild.

i thoght that lol may end up stripping it for parts , been qouted 200 to do head gasket and change valve by a friend who can do it but if its rings or piston more money , or new engine decisions lol

Depending on the age of the car, you may be better off just breaking it as you don't intend to keep it. Older classics are dirt cheap now anyways.

Hmmm another engine thats given way. Im suspecting some MAF issues following on from the harsh damp winter to the dry weather..... just a thought.
