Big Change Of Plans
After the last meet I started to have second and third thoughts about the futher planned modifications to my S202.
I have been thinking for a long time about which direction to take the car if I want to keep it - some say any further modfication beyond what I have already done will ruin the authenticity of the car and I am inclined to agree with them.
So I have decided to look at either selling the car or trading it in against a suitable JDM Twin Scroll replacement (and yes I do have a car already in mind).
I do not want to ruin an iconic Impreza just because I want more power out of it, it has been a real pleasure owning such a rare beast.
The search for a replacement is dependant in the first instance on the car I want still being for sale and also getting a good trade in value for the S202. If not then I will put the S202 up for sale and once sold I will then start looking for a replacement.
I will be putting the 'stash' of upgrade parts up for sale shortly if anyone is interested.

I'm just pleased that you not leaving the fold!
To me you never seemed to quite take to the S202 because its so hard to mod such a model without changing its OE character.
Good luck finding a replacement for the S202 someone will be lucky to own a real icon of the Subaru world.
I'll have a fiver on the next being a white spec c

I have been thinking about it for a while in fact before the Ajec RR day when I nearly took a drive up to Litchfield's from Cheltenham.
That's the plan Ryan.
The fugly bug comments never really bothered me Merv, after all even super models have blemishes.
I don't think there will be a problem selling the S202 but I would really prefer to trade it in if I get a good price for it, I don't know if I can be bothered to deal with timewasters, tyre kickers and dreamers.

Looks wise I could not really mod the S202 as it would ruin it's character and end up like the fake S202 that was recently at PCAD, any more modifications would ruin the car.
I like to think that having had the car professionaly detailed and the wheels refurbed that the car when it goes on to the next owner will be a better car than when I took ownership of it.
Right choice of replacment car Kev, just not the right colour...

TBH it's one of the best looking Bugs out there, as a special edition it needs to stay original-ish, but I know it's hard to do so once you're on the rollercoaster
A nice Spec C would be a good buy

hi ty mate , just sent you a text , but first when i read the thread was surprised , but then think your correct , things we talked about after i did the detail , although subtle and would of looked good , would also now thinking about it detract from what it is , and being that probably best left the way it should be .
so onwards and upwards as they say , look forward to seeing your next venture .

Glad you have made this decision Ty, it's difficult to modify such an iconic car. The s202 is in superb condition and I always enjoyed working on it. I hope the next one is exactly what yo're looking for and am glad you're not leaving the scooby fold.

I put up a list shortly of what will be up for sale.
As above I'll put it up for sale shortly.
Thanks Rich, I just hope this does not take too long.

It looks like I am in the same boat - I have to sell my car first.

I did miss the Hawkeye tbh, but you are right about the next one being bigger and better. You might just win the bet as well, or a free carvery at the next meet.
