Default good roads in south wales???

Hi, I live in Weston Super Mare, and am thinking of having a day out driving around some welsh mountains (to take in the scenery of course ) and was hoping that some of you locals could let me know some good routes

thanks for the replies guys, PM's replied to. I was thinking of heading over one of the bridges and up into the valleys, cwmbran/ebbw vale way, may have the missus with me so perhaps stop at a nice pub for lunch.

Up the Wye valley from Chepstow to Gloucester, across to
Ross on Wye, then on to Brecon, then A470 back to M4 and home.
Cracking run with all types of roads, and some Fabulous views, loads of good pubs and eatery's along the way.
