Default over boost?

hey guys been having an intermiting prob with the car since the headers have gone on in 5th gear at around 4000rpm it feels like the boost cuts completely, this only seems to happen on cold wet eves like tonight as earlier before it got dark it was fine infact suprised me how much it boosted when gave it some, any ideas? all ive realy done to it is 3inch turbo back exhaust no cats and stainless headers and panel filter, although do understand that when you change exhaust and de cat these you do raise the boost level.

changing the exhaust and fillter ect...can raise the boost level and on cold days it will boost more than when it's a warm day ,or even rainy days can give you a little more boost as the air is denser, so your car may be hitting the boost cut now and the best way to sort it out is to have it re-maped and the mapper will raise the fuel cut plus you would also get the best out of the new modz hope this has helped

As I understand it, with mods you have made you need a remap asap. Most of my knowledge relates to the newer engines but put it this way, I was told to stay off boost inbetween fitting my 3" decatted system and getting my remap or risk serious damage due to overboosting.

I know the older cars are less sensitive but personally i wouldn't take the risk, bsesides, you won't be getting the best out of the mods until you do.

mine is a my 97 and think they would be the same, if so you can't remap it and would have to buy something like a apexi power fc, but dont hold me to it and mabye post on general technical section and should get some more answers you looking for

its been a long time since i have seen mine just pull your passenger carpet back and remove the plate and you will see it not sure if its a 3 plug but it is always best to check your car as there are so many different models ect.. it could be either one

not sure but it is abit of a pain when out of all the scoobs we have to buy new ecu
if you are going to get an apexi power fc they are very good plus if you get the fc commander to go with it you can mount it on the dash to show you lots of data on whats going on with the engine think it can moniter 8 things at once

only thing with anti lag and launch control is that if you havent got a ball bearing turbo it will not last long
