Did anyone see the deathrace 2008 programme on BBC1 8pm last night?
It was all about clips posted on line about reckless driving.
One of the clips was a scooby tunnel run posted on max power. I swear it was the Cardiff bay tunnel as you head from east to west.
Naturally the presenters slated the behaviour, with Quentin Willson stating that kids could be heard in the back of the car that filmed the clip.
He claimed that the cars were 'clearly racing'.
No they weren't, they were accelerating together and it was apparent that neither were speeding.
I like Quentin but this was uncalled for.
Some of the clips were bad but mercifully not many included Imprezas.

Every time i hear quentins patronizing voice on the tv i wanna pull his eyes out.
Like hes some driving angel, 2 scoobys accelerate together in a tunnel.
Of course they must be racing at 200 mph.
Not just enjoying there cars a safely.
Who dosent blip the throttle or drop a gear to hear the flat 4 when in a tunnel?

See it... I was in it !
What a load of ****e,,, it was a remake of the one aired in december and clearly they are not racing..... How can they blame the internet for promoting illegal driving when all it is being used for really is to just show reality !
We used to get up to a lot worse before cctv was out there... And Quentin is a nice guy off camera and I cant really repeat what he says, but its all for the shock horror and ratings on the show.....

Just shows how the media takes things out of context to suit what they want to portray. If putting you foot down to hear the noise of the exhaust in a tunnel is a crime, take me away now officer. While i'm here i'm also guilty of blowing the lorries air horns in a tunnel too. I'm gonna be a lifer!
