Default Turbo Advice

I have been having an issue for some time with the turbo over boosting (I hardly used the car during the summer). I had the original problem not long after I had the turbo, intercooler and injectors fitted at Powerstation. I took the car back to them and they traced the fault to the Greddy boost controller and thus changed it. However I'm now having the same problem. One thing that Powerstation did say is that there could be a faulty seal on the turbo but I woul have thought they would have spotted that when they fitted it. Anyway I have checked the oil which was very low and refilled it. I have then started the car and let it idle until warm but I'm getting plumes of white smoke coming from the exhaust even when the engine is warm. So I believe it's the turbo what do you think?

If it is how do I get it repaired/replaced and by who? I have tried Andy at Ace but he must be up to his neck with work as I can never catch him on the phone so I need somebody else.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ok I spoke to API and they think from the description I have given there may be a piston issue or maybe a head gasket. I know the third piston is weak from what I have been told so I want to get a compression test done first before I drive to Warwickshire. So which one is the third cylinder ?

Anybody know?

Think its the one nearest the turbo. and happens to be the last one feed with fuel on the fuel rail.

Probably just as easy to either disconnect the coil packs/plug leads one at a time or even the injector electrical feeds, thereby isolating that cylinder. Just watch and see what difference to revs and engine noise each one makes. That way you can do it yourself.
Compression testing a Scoob is not much fun and can be surprisingly expensive to do.

Good luck - call again if you need a chat.

David

cyl one is by the induction kit,- 2 is by the battery,- 3 is by the turbo aaaaaand hmm!,, can't remember where the other one is just now....
