Price depends where he bought it from - private sale, probably around the £5 - £5500 mark, from a dealer a grand more at least ( judging by what I've seen similar cars up for ).
Paid more for mine last year ( S plate on 70K ) but I wanted a car with a high level spoiler and a decent stereo and multi CD, which would have cost around £1000 more if I'd had to buy them as extras.
Also already had a tracker fitted, which would have been another few hundred, 4 brand new tyres, new wheels etc... so it depends on what you're looking for.
Looks like a nice tidy car though, so I wouldnt be upset at paying up to £6K for it if its what he was looking for.

Sounds good, as long as you're happy with the price and like the car, who cares what other people say they would pay. If you said you'd paid 10p there would be someone who would say you paid too much
StiX - your car has 20,000 more miles, which offsets the fact its a bit newer and is why it was cheap - so in reality yours isnt worth any more than the OP's even though its a couple of years newer, as the loss for the high mileage cancels out any extra price of it being a later model.
If you look what a similar car would cost on a dealers forecourt, its still a good buy - place I had my MOT done had a fairly standard R reg UK car in, priced up at £6995 and that was on about 80K miles.

Another point worth remembering is that very often cheap bargain cars are cheap for a reason ! and they often dont end up working out so cheap once you've had to pay for 4 new tyres, or discs and pads all round, a new clutch etc....
Plus in Wales we arent exactly spoilt for choice for places selling Subarus - if you add on the money and time you'd spend travelling all over the country, only to find out the car that was advertised as mint is in fact a complete shed, its often more cost effective to pay a bit more, but buy locally.

20k miles less, I think normally its £300 per 10k miles difference - so add £600 to what I paid so £5600 - but thats for a MY00?
Anyway, as you have said earlier if you are happy with the car and what you paid, then thats the important thing.
I personally think I had a really good deal on mine anyway, mainly because the mileage was probably scaring people away.
White scoobs are growing on me too, looks nice Scudy23!
