Snowball 'accidentally hit car'
Yea right. Sounds like the ****** got what he deserved. Of course the chav scum parents back up the obvious lie with more lies. A 13 year old can hardly be deemed a 'young child' either IMO.
The headline - Driver attacks boy over snowball - should read 'citizen protects property after attack by yobs'.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/suffolk/4297713.stm
The driver deserves a resounding 'well done'.

Sounds like an over-reaction to me. By all means go over and give the kid an earful (I certainly would), but whacking him behind the head, kneeing him in the face seems completely OTT.
No evidence the kids being 'chav scum' either. Seems like a kid doing what all kids do.

possibly an over reaction but with the youth of today words would probably be a waste of time and would be met with a load of verbal abuse.
Would of being better smacking him round the head once and leaving it.
Can't remember the about of times I got smacked at the back of the head for misbehaving at school.
Personally think its what most of them need today

Where’s the evidence for that then? Lying litigious scum. But the Police say…
“ his injuries were not serious”
Personally I’m sceptical about the “kneeing him in the face and threatening to break his neck.“ part as well. It sounds just like the chav excuse making and failing to take responsibility that we are having to get so used to these days.

lol
two little ***** who spat from a bridge aiming for my sunroof several summers ago got a severe shock when i picked up a friend down the road and then found them just down the road on my way back past
Should have killed the little ******- no complaint, no problem.
Oh- i forgot- the underclass is above the law now

OK, vandalism is only applicable if damage was done. Now if it was just a snowball, it's unlikely to do damage is it (unless stone inside blah blah blah - no evidence of this either form the article). However we have NO indication that any damage was done (We can only go on what was on the bbc weblink) so unless you know something I don't then it appears to be just an overreaction from the driver.

You could see what happens if the headline was "child throws snowball which hits car, makes driver swerve and hits child" now there would be all hell to pay for that one, the parents would sue the driver (well the insurance co) and you wouldnt hear much more about the snowball....

It might be that hes a scruffy little bollocks from a scrubber family, who needed a slap, but to punch him and then knee him in the face is excessive and anyone who condones it is a fool. Have you heard yoursleves? Ffs

Sorry but there are 2 sides to every story. Yes he over reacted...but.....
"This car happened to drive past and a snowball hit it. They were not aiming at the car; it was just passing" is what she told the press & is probably what the kids told her.....mmmmmm....and of course all parents believe their little angels.
Anyway, positive is that he will think twice about throwing snowballs anywhere near cars again, throwing anything near a moving car has the potential for danger, esp a snowball splatting on the windscreen blinding you for a few seconds......

Thumbs up to the motorist, personally i'd be very dubious if it was 'just an accident' as the mother claimed. Kids have no respect and generally no fear of any repercussions these days.
I was walking home from Asda earlier this evening, rather than take the car I sling a rucksack on and walk for a bit of exercise as it's only a couple of miles there and back. Coming back up a quiet dark lane through some woods, I pass a group of young chavs (16 years old max) sitting on a bench drinking. One of them hocks up a big grolly and spits it on the floor in front of me, another proclaims "where the **** does he think he's off to" to his mates who all snigger.
I mean, i'm a big ugly bloke who looks a bit scary in the right light and they're happy/confident enough to mouth off. I'd worry what they'd try with a single girl walking along there in the dark.
I honestly felt like picking one at random and flooring him to teach him what happens if they try intimidating the wrong person, it'd give his mates something to think about too. But of course I'd be "the nutter who attacked them for no reason".
Of course, ask the parents what their scummy little wiener kids are like and they'll swear they're angels.

A bit hard to judge without snowing all the facts (see what I did there?? ).
Personally, this sounds to me like some kids just larking around and having fun in the snow, I know when I was little I'd throw snowballs at anything; lamp posts, buses, friends, enemies, windows etc etc. as long as they don't contain any ice/stones they are pretty harmless. I think the driver is the chav / bully with a small pr*ck who was just looking for an excuse for a ruck if he would do that to a 13 year old FFS. But if we don't know the facts it's just speculation - the kid could be a boy scout who helps out at old folks homes and the driver a convicted child molester, or the kid the local trouble maker expelled from school and the driver.... well whichever way you look at it I think he is a **** if the 'he struck the teenager across the back of the head before kneeing him in the face and threatening to break his neck' is true.

What would happen if the chav in question landed his snowball on a police car?
Helicopter chase a £100 fine and all over the front pages, fact.
He deserved it and would get the same off me.

She wanted to remain anonymous, yet gave a full "look at us, we're perfect, my boy's an angel" attention seeking interview - typical behaviour of chavscum IMO.

Size this up, from the article it says the driver was 25 - 35 years old, and the boy was 13. Whatever he's done, unless the boy had actually physically attacked the man, the man had absolutely no excuse to lay a finger on the boy, cowardly and thuggish, IMO.
Kneeing in the 13 year old boy in the face, if true, is absolutely disgusting!
Obviosuly two sides to the story, but self defence is the only reason to hit someone, otherwise it's the man behaving like chav scum......

There should be less emphisis on a person's 'rights' and more on their 'responsibilities' as a citizen.

Far from being harmless, I think it's perfectly possible for a hard-packed,well-thrown heavy snowball to dent a panel on a car, especially an Impreza Who would pay for the repair on a dented bonnet or roof?
I would like to have heard the "attacker"'s side. I don't believe that a 25 year old bloke, both punching and kneeing someone in the face, would leave 'superficial' injuries.
To quote Not The Nine O'Clock News; " I work with these kids every day. I know them, I see the deprivation they suffer. In my opinion they should cut their ***** off".
... Or something like that.
