Advice required from South Wales Scooby's
Hi All,
Having seen some seriously nice wheels last night, I've decided to plump for a new set to replace my wearing tyres.
I'd like some advice if possible:
a) 18" or 17" - I'm thinking 18" but are there any other considerations, (new springs, imcompatible between Sti/WRX, etc), or will they just slot on?
b) PFF7 style or OZ Racing ST GT/ SL?
I am thinking about buying the ones advertised on here, I've asked the guy if he'll accept £500 cash plus shipping.....what so you think, worth it even though they're reps?
http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=459780
Thanks,
Rich.

They'd really suit your car. Love the colour but I'm biased. Gold rocks but don't let SSS here you say that!!!!!!
shipping won't cost that much £30 Max, see what he says, there may be some for sale at the pod, normally have a little trade area and they've had some good deals in the past.

Have to say the dark wheels go really well with the dark blue paint and the dark tints. might have to think along those lines when I get bigger wheels to fit over the bigger breaks, to go with the dark tints, which means I have to have brighter gauages, oh it's never ending

Try here for new PFF7's
http://www.revolution.eu.com/
And have a look here at the ROTA'S
http://www.rarerims.co.uk/
http://www.rotawheels.com/about.shtml
It's a big market and you can buy new at very reasonable prices.

IMHO you would be better off with 18s on a newage, ask in the members gallery for pics of your favorite ones and as you will be at the pod with us you will be able to see loads of different wheels on the cars on show.
Ultralite do a very nice range of wheels in gold and many other colours , happy hunting

Bought my PFF7 replicas from Revolution for £950 with Proxies fitted.
My old wheels had zero tread left on them, even so I still managed to get £400 for them on Ebay. Considering I would have spent £400 on new tyres then the replicas only cost me an additional £150
If you do buy the replicas get 1mm skimmed off your locking wheel nut socket as the counterbore in the wheel is a snug fit on the socket and you will take off some paint.

There was a company called Midland Wheels selling PFF7 on ebay last week with 215/35/18 or 225/40/18 toyo tyres for £695.
There not on there at the moment but you could probably find out there number a buy direct or keep checking ebay there'll probably be back on there. type " subaru 18" " as the search.
There also a company selling Rota tarmac 2 for £695 with tyres.
