Default Track Day novice needs advice please

I am wanting to do a couple of track days with my MY98 WRX and want to know how I go about it. I know that I have to book the day, but who with and what do I need to do with the car prior to going? I'm not talking about mods, but more about what the organisers require, if this makes sense.

My Scoob has the following spec

Up-Pipe and downpipe with 2.5" magnex system.
Knock link and boost gauge
Zerosports ECU
Zerpsports Induction Kit with K&N
Cold air feed from bumper and Mini bonnet scoop.
Standard dampers with Eibachs and Prodrive geometry
22mm Front and rear anti-roll bars with whiteline bushes and mounts.
Solid front and rear drop links.
Godspeed 335mm front brakes and mintex pads front and rear.

The tracks I want to go to are Donington and Oulton.

Most things Organiser will require is for you to pass a noise test which can vary between different Organisers, Tracks and even different Days Attend a Track Breifing session, Sign an Indemity form and wear a Crash Hat

both Donny and Oulton are very good Tracks, but Oulton has more place to hit hard things when you have an off IMHO.

Be Kind to yourself and the Car give both adequate rests Enjoy the Day remember you drove the Car there, you will want to drive it home

There are organisers like BookaTrack also look SIDC there are Tickets on sale till the 30th April for Japfest in MAY. these are only 20/30 mins X2 sessions around Castle Coombe. But will give you a taster and you can meet up loads of Scoobs and ask as many question as you like

IMHO AFAICR

Donington do their own TRACKZONE days...

Good value, but does have a noise limit. You will also be mingling out on track with various types of cars and maybe even some racecars who tend to use these days for "testing".

Very nice circuit though.

Donington is always a good day out, and offers very good value for money.

The marshalling can be appalling, but this will probably only affect you once you become more seasoned.

Maybe a better first time track than Oulton.

Depending on how far you want to travel & where abouts you are , we have a track day booked.

No noise restrictions

Oulton Park is a long and complicated circuit. It's fantastic - my favourite circuit - but it takes a long time to learn. For a first track day you'd be better off looking at somewhere shorter. Then you have to spend less time learning where the circuit goes and can spend more on improving your driving. Brands Hatch (Indy Circuit) would be my first choice, but Donnington's not a bad option. I prefer the short circuit - the Melbourne Loop doesn't really add much in my opinion.
