Default free castor mod on its own?

Hello all. Whilst i have my wrx up on the ramp to replace a knocking front droplink is it worth doing the free castor mod? Will it be noticeable on its own? Or worth doing since im planning on getting my geo looked at anyway?

Thanks for the help

Mainly steering feel is improved, but it does make the front end a bit more pointy.

Many would argue that the ALK is worse for the car. You can undo the standard fitment ALK and push them futher forward using holes in the chassis as leverage.

You can see the holes I'm talking about in the picture below (hole is at the bottom of the pic next to the bolt, stick a screwdriver in there and use as leverage to move the ALK forward) which in the picture happens to have the whiteline item fitted:

It will hold dynamic mid corner camber, give additional mid corner grip to the inside front tyre, help with the wheel to self centre itself.

A said, also consider the castor only bushing, rather than the ALK )the better option it can be said)

Is that a pig of a job just changing the bush?

I've never found it too difficult - you do need a press of some kind though really

Doesn't adding caster also increase toe-in? I mean, by moving the rear bushing top the outside...?

Ah wait. The anti lift kit and free caster mod move the rear bushing lower towards the ground, right?

Not sure Gotboost, im trying to get my head round all this. What is it that causes the light steering feel mid corner, say going fast round a decent sized roundabout. Feels quite weighty at first then goes horribly light! Will the free caster mod plus off set bushes help add some weight to the steering? Or is this something else geometry wise?
