Whiteline swaybars
#1
I posted a while back but got no response. Does anyone have any experience on the handling characteristics of uk cars with whiteline swaybars, in particular, what is the effect of std front and 22mm whiteline rear. If a rear bar is fitted is it wise to fit an uprated front also. Please help. Thanks

I'm looking into this as well. All I 've found out is if the handling of the car is neutral, you'll upset it by only chqanging one (or using a stiffer one front to rear) if it oversteers or understeers, depends which one you make stiffer. Cusco do various diameters and the rears are adjustable. MRT do 22mm front & rear which are much cheaper tthan Cusco. Haven't heard of whiteline though ??
hope that helps a little (not that I'm an expert by any means !!)

Whiteline are the market leaders in this area and as their longest standing agent of their products in the UK, we will be glad to discuss the complex pro's and con's of all suspension adjustments/upgrades available.

Just had this done at powerstation. Had the bumpsteer geometry anti dive kit and whiteline rear roll bar and bushes, and what a difference. I did not have the front done as apparently it promotes a bit of understeer, and i was trying to get away from this. The turn in is so good now that nearly all understeer is gone. Not for the faint hearted though as the back is far more twitchy. On a P1 so not strickly a uk car

And just to add that on the MY01 (which is far less prone to understeer than the old shape), this is a great mod and reduces understeer a little, and makes the car feel flatter in the bend and a little more adjustable on the throttle.
This can only be even better on the old shape which needs more help to get round the corners....

Thanks for the replies, Nozzer what is your car like in the wet. I'm concerned that I will end up with a car that is not as quick as standard when wet. Am I going to have a car that will get me into real problems if I lift mid bend or are we talking minimal lift off oversteer. Thanks for the help.
