I had to buy a front arb to replace my slightly bent one (2003 uk sti) and have purchased in haste a 24mm adjustable whiteline instead of the popular 22mm.
Now, when fitting this, which would be the preferred hole to fix it into of the 3 and would it now be advisable to buy the 24mm adjustable rear one too.
has anybody got both 24/24 on a newage and what's it like on the road?
cheers folks.

It's preferred to have the rear larger than the front. Some people do have the same front and rear it usually comes down to personal preference.
Basically you'll get less roll but you'll also lose a bit of turn in.

I run 24/24 on my wrx wagon. I like it fine. Some like the smaller bar up front for more rotation but I like the larger bar up front for camber control. I personally don't like a really loose rear end and just run it in the middle setting in the rear and full stiff up front. Its a safe daily driver setting. Great front end grip that only starts to understeer a wee bit at very high speeds. though all I need is a slight lift to tuck the nose in, no big deal.
Its a bit different to the typical UK setup of small front/big rear but is not as extreme as the US use of large front/small rear. You can always run the front at full soft (there are only two settings) to get more rotation too.

Exactly. Just play around with the settings. Hopefully you have some large office park with wide empty streets you can play around in. Its time consuming to make the adjustments but its not too bad. Just get a set of ramps and drive up onto them. Unbolt the droplinks, change setting. Piece of cake.
I'd say start the front at full soft (hole farthest from the center of the bar) and go through all three rear settings. Then change the front to full stiff and go through all three rear settings again. Get a little notebook and make a note/chart of what each change does from your subjective point of view.
Depending on how you end up with your alignment you may have to tweak the bar settings to get the car to handle the way you like.

As a matter of interest and save me getting under the car with a caliper, what is the diameter of the standard front ARB on the 03 STi as I want to order some poly bushes.
I use the 22mm Whiteline rear ARB (middle hole) with the standard front. Dials out a little bit of understeer.

As the OP had removed his original bar, I thought he might know the dimension!
