Rear droplink bolts vanished !

Rear droplink bolts vanished !
Took my WRX for the MOT yesterday, test station called me to say it had failed on front brake pads and rear drop links.
I was a bit puzzled as I only fitted the 'Powerflex' alloy ones a few months ago.
I collected the car and put it up on a ramp in our workshop to see what the problem was.............. OMG ! the top bolts were missing from both droplinks as well as the poly bushes and inserts !
Anyone had this happen before ? I have the Eibach 24mm anti roll bar fitted as well, I wondered if it was the wrong one for my car but it is the correct part number according to Eibachs website ?
I tightened the bolts up well when I fitted the droplinks so I find it hard to believe that both of them have come loose and fallen out (and taken the bushes with them)

this happened to me when i fitted my solid droplinks and whiteline, i lost one of the top bolts. i can only presume coz i used the old bolts that it had sheared so i bought some new bolts and theyve been in for a few thousand miles now without problem. remember to go back and retighten the bolts after a few hundred miles

I found that the std top bolts where to short for the new whiteline arb, cos the whiteline bar is thicker at the end.
That's why I fitted new longer bolts and nylocks.

i got a set of powerflex drop links when i bought a full set of bushes for my car. took my perrin one's off and gave the powerflex a try. the same thing happened on one side to mine, bolt gone bushes gone.
took the powerflex drop links off, binned what was left and re-fitted perrrin one's.
on a similar problem with powerflex note, i also fitted a set of their steering rack bushes which disintegrated after a week on the car and left me with some rather wooley steering for a 20min drive home!

Hmmmmm ................... mental picture of sign over the door ? 'Powerflex...Quality products since 1804'
LOL
Dunx, they did not come with any washers and first time I just used the original droplink bolts.
This time however I paid more attention and realised that as you say, the stainless insert is actually a fraction shorter than the bushes ! As I tightened it up it just started to pull the bolt through the bushes, added washers and crossed fingers.
Powerflex did send me new bushes and sleeves free of charge without any postage cost and without any proof of purchase, which was nice. Might suggest that they get a lot of these calls though, didn't seem at all suprised when I described what had happened.
