Thanks for the shout James

Recommend R888's from Camskill ( £800 for mine GASP ! ) BUT THEY ARE RATHER NOISY ! ! !
But they don't like whitelines in the wet.... and haven't got loads of tread, but boy do they grip !

Dunx

P.S. 911 wonder if you could recommend suitable spring rates for AST's for a low mileage/trackday set-up for mine ( 02 STI with most of the Whiteline catalogue fitted ) Sorry to thread hi-jack....

I would think 60/50 for a heavy (compared to a classic) Sti.

You can set the damping to about 8/10 clicks from soft in the fronts and 6 or 7/10 from soft in the rears.

I am assuming you have 22mm roll bar Fr and 24mm rear.

I ran this on my hillclimb/road Classic and it was a bit hard, 50/40 is much nicer, but you cat in about 100Kg more than mine.

The best guy is call is Curtis at Powerstation though.

DazzaSTi rated Hankook RS2's much better than R888 on his Atom. He said the compound gave much better grip and the tread pattern gave two benefits. A more predictable break-away at the limit and significantly better wet grip. When I trash my current tyres on my track wheels I'll be trying them on my Furby, but as they only get 2-3 outings a year and have loads of life left it could be some time Ooh, they're quite cheap too from Camskill

1
Correctly set coil-overs do not need a regular visit to the dentist.
You would all be surprised at my AST's!
2
If you want really sticky tyres then take a look at Kumho V70.
