Having been asked to keep everyone updated, I can confirm that the Sports Spring is now available from your Subaru dealer. Part number is SACC2544 and the cost is £195 inc vat + fitting

Comprising of front and rear springs with revised rates, this kit gives a reduction in ride height of 20-25mm on all 01MYWRX and GX models.
Key features and benefits:-
Reduced ride height
Improved steering feel and weighting
Reduced bodyroll and improved handling
Reduced understeer.
When used in conjunction with WRSport Aero package gives further improvements in aerodynamic performance.
Firmer ride with small loss of ride comfort on certain surfaces
For maximum benefit use with SACC2518/2512/2514, 18”P-WRC1 wheel and 225/40ZR18 Pirelli PZero Rosso tyre.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding during the development of this kit. I think that you will find that it was worth the wait.

As part of our continuing development program we are evaluating many different suspension options. At the moment there is nothing imminent but we will let you know if there is.

Are you also considering the new "street" version from Ohlins?

We are looking at various options but at the moment Ohlins don't have a road damper for the 01MY WRX

Hi Mike,

Does the "WRSport Aero package" refer to the UK300 style front and rear spoiler?

Cool

Jza,
according to the subaru accessories list the only WR Sport body parts are the UK300 front and rear spoilers and headlights.

Thanks for the update Mike. But Paul has a point If so many people wanted to know, why is'nt it up on your website?

A prodrive suspension set (or even one of those new HID light sets) would be payment enough for me .

Mike,

Can these springs be used in conjunction with the "Sports Suspension" option for the MY01 (STI struts and ??) or do they replace some of it? Would it make any difference on a car with this option already fitted.

Cheers

Its ok, I have checked and I also have the STI springs. Doesn't look as though I would benefit that much?

Exclamation

The springs before fitting are approx £200 inc vat.. including fitting expect to pay £400-$450 dependant on dealer.
If you have an after market tracker, make them aware before hand, as it may have been mounted about the rear suspension (as was mine) which can cause problems for them.

Rgds, Alex
