Default where shall I start?

I have a MY93 with totally standard suspension bar a front strut brace which was on it when I got it.

I want to start with the basics just to get abit firmer through the corners. I have been looking into some whiteline products but dont exactly know what i need.

I was thinking front and rear drop links and front and rear anti-roll bars but it appears theres different gauge roll bars and im not sure if i need a heavy duty mounting kit for the ARB's if i up grade? do i want adjustable ones? and adjustable drop links? any advice and part numbers would be great.

cheers,
GAZ.

I think you need the 24mm adjustable arb on the rear. This will allow you to tweak the set up depending on how firm you want it. I think the drop links are a fairly std item, other than the heavy duty ones being less susceptible to corrosion. Loads of people were very impressed with the std Whiteline items before they released the heavy duty versions.

Try using search as this is a very well covered topic.

Is it better to have the adjustable one? will any adjustment make much difference?

do you need new brackets to hold the thicker ARB on or do they come with dfferent bushes?

any one have any views on a front set-up? which ARB for the front?
cheers, again

Gaz.

You will get a real improvement by:

Checking all the suspension is in good condition
Fit 24mm whitline rear bar with the new bushes etc
Solid drop-liks front and rear (if a UK car or non Sti)
Fit anti lift kit from Whitline
Fit eibach springs if you can
Good specialist alignment (ie Powerstation) not a Dealer.
Good tyres and 32/30 psi f/r pressures.

You will be amazed at the change, you will run out of brakes if you have an early car, pre 97.
You will have so much fun!

This is how i started, but I'm now much deeper into the chassis

Bit like this:

note how flat the car is.

That is what I did on the advice of Whiteline themselves, but try the rear only first on the 'soft' hole, ie the one at the end of the flattened link. You will see this when you get it. A front can be fitted easy without the need for re-alignment.
