Today I picked up my "STi7 Prodrive springs" from Lancasters Pangbourne which I ordered last week, but I think my dealer has supplied the wrong springs. The box is labelled WR Sport Spring Kit 01MY and the springs are blue. The invoice gives part no. SSACC2544.

Can someone tell me the correct part number.

Angry Alan!

Lemmy,

Sounds like they've given you the wrong springs. Part number should be SACC2554 and springs should be red (well mine are).

From your e-mail, the price you paid for them is the same as me though.

Cheers

Thanks Paul and Tony

I will ring the incompetent parts department at Lancaster Pangbourne this morning and reorder.

The correct springs have now been ordered. Surprisingly Prodrive still have some left.

Lemmy,

I'm Glad you sorted that litle mistake out, would've been a real f**ker if you'd fitted the wrong ones then had to take them off again.

I bet you're glad I mentioned that mine are red aren't you mate

Cheers

Paul

I am certainly glad you mentioned the colour of the springs. If I had asked the dealer to fit them then I might not of noticed at all because I wouldn't have seen the springs before hand.

Lemmy, glad to be of assistance

ACB555, unfortunately despite begging to Powerstation, I haven't been across to fit them yet. They've been very busy last weekend and this week. The next time they can fit me in when I'm available is 25th April. If no one else has posted prior to then, I will post a review of them with photo soon after fitting.

Cheers

Paul

Picked mine up Saturday, part no on the invoice is SSACC2544, part number on the box is SACC2544, so the double S seems to be a red herring. The box says WR SPORT SPRING so I queried this with the dealer and he confirmed these are the STi7 springs.

And, yes, they are red.

So I'd ignore whether it says SSACC2544 or SACC2544.

Chelspeed,
Are you sure you have the correct springs, I spoke to IM yesterday and they confirmed that SAC2544 is for the WRX and GL models and SAC2554 is for the STI version.

You're right!! I thought we were arguing whether it should be SSACC or SACC and not the number.... I've just checked, my red springs are 2554, not 2544. All other info remains the same, ie they say WR Sport Spring on the box, invoice is SSACC2554, box says SACC2554. Apologies for adding to the confusion.
