Default Fitting Newer Suspension to Classic

Technical advice required please!

I have bought a set of EXE-TC Coilovers which are meant to fit a later (Blob) Impreza so the rear top mounts are different, as is the spacing of the bottom hub fixing bolts on the front dampers.

The rear dampers are easy to modify by fitting the original top mounts or slotting the top mount fixing holes, and then fitting the rear dampers as they are with the later type top mounts.

The fronts are the problem. Can I fit different front hubs but still use my 5 x 100 wheels?

I should explain that the car is a 1997 Impreza Wagon that I use for gravel rallying and so have a large number of 5 x 100 wheels, which is why I need to retain the hubs as they are. I also already have very good DMS Dampers fitted.

Opinions appreciated!

Gary
