Talking My STI5 split - lots of parts, standard and upgraded for sale!

Hi guys.

****IF THINGS SAY COLLECTION ONLY, I REALLY MEAN IT. I AM IN THE CLOSING STAGES OF 9 MONTHS OF CANCER TREATMENT AND IT IS STARTING TO HIT ME QUITE HARD. I AM ALSO RUNNING A BUSINESS WHILE GOING THROUGH ALL OF THIS SO PLEASE TRY TO UNDERSTAND WHY I CAN'T BEND OVER BACKWARDS TO ARRANGE SHIPPING/PACKAGING ON SOME THINGS.****

****ALL PICTURES TAKEN ON A VERY SUNNY DAY AND BODYWORK PARTS NOT CLEANED SO FACTOR THAT IN****

These parts are from my old STI5 that I loved to death, modified, sold in 2008 in pristine condition to someone that turned out to be a chav/addict, he shall be referred to as Mungo in this thread. Bought what was left of her back with big end damage being one of many problems as it turned out. Proved to be too much to make her whole again after madam rearranged the frontend for me while towing it to Subaru4you...

While waiting for the DVLA to swap over my number plates so I can scrap her, I have almost finished taking off the various bits that I want to sell on to try to recoup some of the money that buying her back cost me.....

There are various bits so before I go in to detail below, here is what is available currently:

DETAILS

Black (47A) Electric folding mirrors - £40 including UK Mainland delivery

Perfect working order, mirrors move around and they open/fold on command. A few usual marks on the paint that go with age, never detailed so may come up beautifully. Ignore the various cobwebs in the photos -

http://www.ftaclan.net/clanftp/nick/...3/SAM_0208.JPG

STI5 Headlights - little bit of mount damage to one but holds firm - £30 including UK Mainland delivery

Seals are intact and were working correctly when removed from the car. If you look closely at the left grommet in the first picture below, you will see the small front bit of plastic that broke around the grommet but there is more than enough for it to bite on perfectly and the light won't move -

Genuine Subaru Headlight protectors including a BRAND new nearside spare - £35 including UK Mainland delivery

Rare as hell as far as I am aware and I loved having them on the car, looked great. Ever so slight hazing going around the lower curved edge of the nearside one. I managed to find a brand new spare nearside one too which is included and cost almost as much as I am selling these for! Give them a clean and they will a great addition to your car -

http://www.ftaclan.net/clanftp/nick/...3/SAM_0227.JPG

Scoobyworld Crystal front light pack - £35 including UK Mainland delivery

Currently on special at Scoobyworld at £88 plus shipping. All seals intact on my ones, lovely upgrade -

http://www.ftaclan.net/clanftp/nick/...3/SAM_0218.JPG

STI Rear lights - No leaks and good condition, very slight rub on top of one lens but will easily polish out - £100 including UK Mainland delivery

Totally gutted that I had to remove these as the "mechanic" brother of idiot that bought the car from me, removed these and re-fitted them without replacing the mastic so the boot was leaking like a sieve... I spent a bloody age removing the old mastic from the bodywork/lights and perfectly applied Carafax to them, sealing the lot perfectly. Not killing myself again removing the (much easier to clean off than mastic) Carafax, so be prepared to get out the white spirit and this stuff will come right off, ready for you to apply properly again! Very slight rub mark to the very top edge of the left lens but will polish out very easily -

PIAA 80 Pro XT Front Flood/full beam/Driving lights - one lens cracked but bought brand new replacement lens! - £90 including UK Mainland delivery

These came wired up to the full beams on my car and they are outstanding, I still think far better than any HID setup I have on my other cars. During my 3 years with the car driving her every day, I broke 2 lenses through stones, paid lots for new lenses both times then found that when I bought her back, I had to buy a third lens! The replacement lens that cost almost as much as I am selling this setup for is included. The casings are black and are looking their age a bit so you might want to crack out the paintcan. £310 new currently on Scoobyworld! -

STI Carbon Strut Brace - £40 including UK Mainland delivery

Give it 5 min clean and it will look lovely -

Black (47A) DR Motorsport STI7 style Intake scoop for Classic - A bit of securing bolt damage but repairable - £60 including UK Mainland delivery

Looks 10 million times better than the STI8 box spoiler some people stick on, far more in keeping with the classic and lets more air in to the intercooler. Sadly Mungo didn’t lubricate the nuts/bolts so despite me being as careful as I could, the rear middle bolt snapped off which could be drilled out enough to slid in another bolt and a couple of the other bolts do spin a little, but could have superglue sunk in to them to give enough purchase to tighten the nuts up on, or just hold the bolts while you tighten up. Paintwork is in fairly good condition -

Black (47A) Stuart Knight Carbon Fibre Skoopz - might want respraying - £75 including UK Mainland delivery

I didn't like the actual Carbon Fibre finish on these so DR Motorsport resprayed them for me to match the car. Looks like the other owner had them resprayed and there are a few blemishes (looks like drops of paint) on them but you only notice them when you go and look at the scoops. These either be fully functional, you can leave your cover plates on under them or do what I did, use the cover plates underneath but space them out with washers so that some air can still flow/escape while minimizing any water getting in to the engine bay. -

Black (47A) DR Motorsport P1 Full Lip Spoiler - a bit tatty, especially underneath due to inconsiderate parking...... - £50 COLLECTION ONLY

Was in perfect condition when I sold the car but mungo appears to have done some Dukes of Hazzard jumps/parked up kerbs etc judging by the scraping underneath it. A lot of stone chips on it but a lot of patience with a touch up brush could make it look acceptable IMO. A bit of damage around the removable towloop panel by mungo too. I actually dremeled out the area where the towloop sits in order for the bottom of the lip to sit level, with the bottom of towloop poking through it -

Black (47A) STI5 Bootlid and spoiler - Not bad condition, usual hairline crack in corner of wing, no leaks - £80 COLLECTION ONLY

The same one that was on the car when I bought her in 2005. Mungo told me that he had the spoiler removed, resealed and the inside of the bootlid resprayed, as the photos seem to reflect. Ignore the vast majority of the marks in the photos below, 95% of them are either dirt, dried on spider webs, water marks, or reflections on the edges. Regardless, a nice detail/polish up would probably be advised to have it looking spiffy -

BRAND NEW OE WRX STI Boot Sticker - £30 including UK Mainland delivery

This is the second bloody decal I have bought for the car. The original owner liked the "stealth" look, despite the dirty great wing on the back...... Mungo took my decal off too. Ordered from Roger Clark Motorsport and brnd spanking
new. http://www.rogerclarkmotorsport.co.u...?productID=558 -

VERY good condition front/rear STI seats - no rips/tears, bolsters in excellent condition, professionally cleaned - £100 COLLECTION ONLY

Bought off here a couple of months ago for £130 plus about £50 delivery. I had my detailer friend give them a once over to make them as perfect as possible. Great looking seats, not faded, no rips or tears, not sure what else to say other than I have absolutely no intentions of arranging shipping on these. I don't have the time or space to get them wrapped up on a pallet, sitting out in my front garden, waiting for the courier to collect and even then he won't be able to get the pallet through the walled-in garden -

2 sets of door cards - mostly all tatty, was hoping to make up one acceptable set from the 2 but no need now, will throw in the window controllers too and look for the cover caps.... - £25 COLLECTION ONLY

Mine weren't originally tatty at all but once again, thanks to Mungo..... Not sure what to say, will let the pictures speak for themselves. Somehow, Mungo managed to snap off part of the retaining clips on both rear windows controls but they sat in there perfectly well with just the main metal retaining clip. As mentioned, I am throwing these in FOC -

Climate Control dials - Perfect working order and look good - £20 including UK Mainland delivery

Worked perfectly on the couple of occasions that I limped the car on the shot engine. Nice and clean, all lights work etc -

http://www.ftaclan.net/clanftp/nick/...3/SAM_0222.JPG

STI white face dashboard dials - Pretty good nick, 1 noticeable scratch in the front bezel - £60 including UK Mainland delivery

Like the above, everything lit up and worked on the 2 occasions that I was in the car -

Defi 60MM Triple gauge setup (Black face for all you people thinking that black faced is the end of the world, when they actually go perfectly well inside IMO...) in triple A Pillar Pod and modified A Pillar trim too - Perfect working order and boost sender module replaced with new unit. - £450 collected or delivered but can't include modified pillar trim if delivering. BRAND NEW Scoobyworld Classic Impreza premium tailor made car mats - Anthracite carpet, red binding, RED STI logos (Had the pink ones first and they looked awful!) - £60 including UK Mainland delivery

Bought for the car as soon as I got her back as I was expecting to keep her. Scoobyworld sent the first set with the Pink STI logo in error and it looked awful. The correct set were made and sent and look much nicer! The carpet material looks lighter than it is due to the sunlight in the photos. Exact detail of order that came to £86:

Scoobyworld Impreza Premium Tailor made Car Mats
- Car Model: Classic 1993-2000
- Mat Binding Colour: Bright Red
- Mat Carpet Colour: Anthracite
- Mat Heelplate Required: Drivers and Passenger Carpet Heel
- Mat Logo Required: STI to match binding colour both
- Number Of Doors: 4 door car
- RHD OR LHD Car?: Right Hand drive car

Blitz FATT DC Fully Automatic Turbo Timer and correct harness for near-plug & play fitting in to a late Classic Impreza - £50 including UK Mainland delivery

Details available in another thread -

https://www.scoobynet.com/subaru-par...rbo-timer.html

Hyperflow Impreza 99-00 Top Mount Intercooler with mildly cut to fit intercooler plate, and Turbosmart Supersonic BOV - Pretty well the pinnacle of aftermarket top mount intercoolers IMO - Lag-free 380/350 using this on my STI5 - £300 including UK Mainland delivery

Fitted back in late 2007 and cot lots of money (around £800 or so if not a bit more with the Turbosmart). I modified the intercooler inlet tray that bolts in to the bonnet/scoop to make it flow air as fully as possible in to the intercooler and will be including that too. Being that I don't know what exactly caused the engine to fail from, I would advise that sole solvent/acid be run through the inside of the intercooler just to make sure that it is as clean as possible but doesn't look too bad from what I can see. I originally made up temporary seals to make the intercooler plate seal as well as possible and gave Mungo the more permanent stuff but he never fitted it..... As a result of this there is a small bit of wear to one corner of the intercooler but it doesn't affect the performance and has been caught in time easily -

http://www.ftaclan.net/clanftp/nick/...3/SAM_0214.JPG - turbo hose is worn but appears to still be able to make a seal

APS Cold Airfeed Kit - Needs love as was used for 30k miles without being inspected/cleaned/filter changed, including Samco intake hose too..... - £100 including UK Mainland delivery

Mungo should have cleaned/replaced the filter at some point during the 30k miles he put on the car but didn't. I wouldn't trust it for any more use but have included so that you can easily measure and obtain a match for it. I believe that I still have the fitting instructions and will include them. It bolts directly on to the MAF housing and from there I have a Samco intake hose that connect the housing to the rest of the inlet system. I would sand down the side of the APS kit that seals on to the MAF housing, would only take a few mins -

4 Nismo 555CC Fuel Injectors - Phase 2 for late classic - Modified by S4U to fit Subaru injector plugs - £100 including UK Mainland delivery

I haven't had them flow tested but if I had, I would be asking £150 for them. From the hour or so that I drove the car, fuelling appeared to be fine, she started up perfectly every time and nothing fuelling-related ever cropped up. I reckon they are fine but you may well want to get them ultrasonically cleaned/flow tested for peace of mind. Some folks say that the Nismo 555CC injectors are good for flowing a touch over 600CC (http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/i...owtopic=524596) but I never really looked in to it -

http://www.ftaclan.net/clanftp/nick/...3/SAM_0245.JPG

Unused Generic 35W High/Low 6000k H4 fitting HID Headlight kit - I never got around to fitting it and neither did Mungo! - £40 including UK Mainland delivery

99% sure that they are dual beam ones, will double check but photos here -

Scoobyworld Ninja Sport Cat modified by Hayward & Scott to 3" exit and wrapped with 95% intact DEI heatwrap - £100 including UK Mainland delivery

STI5 ECU V5/6 Classic 3 plug ECU with ECUtek license - £100 including UK Mainland delivery

I could possibly drop them at Subaru4You in Newbury whenever my car is ready if that helped you but would need to check with the guys of course. I think I have a big enough cover to give them some protection during their stay there.

As it came from a late classic (my car, not from another car), it didn't need an ESL Daughterboard. Factory ECU with no third party link stuff installed down the line, direct mapping with ECUtek software.

I thought ESL stuff was only needed for 93-96 cars?

to be honest i don't really know a lot about mapping classics. i had a open source map on my bugeye and to be honest i thought all classics needed a stand alone ecu or a esl board to be mapped which is why i asked. i would be very interested if i could find out a little more about it and the cost of mapping it
cheers

Sorry but not worth my time packing them and spending £12 in courier etc being perfectly honest. I am happy with the price advertized.
