For Sale - Hawkeye Type UK - 2007 (Only 10,500 miles)
It's with a very heavy heart that, due to lack of use, I am selling my 2007 Hawkeye 2.5 (Type UK)
The car has only ever been used as a 'weekender,' (although it did see the track at Silverstone in March) and has only done 10,500 miles from new. Condition, inside and out, is immaculate.
The car has been sensibly remapped by Bob Rawle (370/395) and the suspension, handling, set up and brakes have all recently been sorted by Chevron Motorsport in Stafford. A full set of Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas, fitted less than 500 miles ago, compliment the improved handling. Litchfields have also recently fitted a full Milltek Sports Cat system and a brand new set of genuine DEFI gauges has also been installed.
I don't need to sell and I do enjoy the car when I get the rare chance to use it. As a result, I'm only open to very sensible offers. I would also love the car to go to a good home.
All details and pics can be found on Pistonheads.

Please PM / Email me if interested or you have any questions.
Thanks for looking.

Doesn't detract from the fact the car is a genuine, low mileage example in fantastic condition with sensible mods. I certainly snapped it up when I had the opportunity to buy and with full history (all services up to date despite low miles), number of previous owners didn't come in to it.

No I can''t believe you're selling it! I met you at the silverstone trackday in March and thought your car was a lovely example. If I hadn't put so much into my classic recently I'd be tempted. Good luck with the sale...

Good to hear from you and thanks for the comment. What an absolutely cracking day that was!
I am gutted to be selling mate, although I don't have to. Just seems criminal that the car only gets a tiny bit of use at the weekend and that's more a case of keeping her ticking over. Do enjoy it when I'm out though and she certainly turns heads!
After Silverstone I was about to spend big bucks with API on forging the engine and upgrading the turbo and cooling, to get nicely over 400 bhp and protect / strengthen things for more track work. However, I had a rethink about what I really wanted and ended up spending less money on this little baby instead!
220bhp in a car which weighs under 500kg is a lot of fun and she handles and corners like a mother as well! Absolutely great for road and track and pretty cheap to run and maintain, certainly when compared to the Impreza.
Still love the Scooby though. Entirely different performance and handling characteristics and an iconic motor and that's what I'll miss, if and when someone takes her off my hands.

It was a brilliant day I haven't done another since as I've spent too much on mods! I've prob only covered 500 miles in it since March so mine gets very little use as well but I feel I need to get some value out of it before I eventually sell up. I'm beginning to think an Impreza is too expensive to run as a track car long term so eventually I want a caterham/westfield/kit car of some kind , will probably be a lot more fun to drive and significantly cheaper to run! The new car looks brilliant, is it a kit car? What engine are you running for 220bhp?
