Default Audi S4 rep (2.5 TDi V6 Quattro 210 bhp) 19" lm's, kw's, SWAP 4 CLASSIC, BUG/BLOB STi

************ No longer available! Swap done! ***********

I'm interested in a swap with a well spec'd / modded STi Type R, or a bug / blob eye STi. My car is priced at £6800, so please don't offer me anything that is more expensive as I don't have the funds to put towards a more expensive car.

So, here we have my awesome A4 2.5 TDi Quattro Sport, in the much sought after Dolphin Grey with a very rare 6 speed manual gearbox. Its a shame to sell this car but I no longer need a diesel so I have decided to treat myself to a toy / weekend car.

Quick summary -

Engine:

2.5 TDi V6 remapped to 210 BHP / 370 FTLB

Transmission / drivetrain:

Rare 6 speed manual box
Quattro permanent 50/50 4 wheel drive

Suspension:

KW Varient 1 height adjustable Coilovers
B7 RS4 rear antiroll bar kit

Wheels / Tyres:

19"x9.5" BBS LM replicas
Falken FK452 235/35/19 tyres

Exterior:

Genuine S4 front and rear bumpers
Genuine S4 upper and lower front grilles
Genuine S4 door blades
Genuine S4 boot spoiler
Genuine S4 solid alloy wing mirrors
Seat Leon cupre R front splitter
Tinted rear windows
Custom rear S4 style exhaust tips
6000k HID xenon headlights
Xenon white led sidelights
Xenon white led rear number plate lights

Interior:

Professionally re-trimmed black and plum red full leather interior
Front centre arm rest
RNS-D satnav unit
6 CD glovebox changer
8 speaker premium sound system
Dual digital climate control
Cruise control
Trip / driver computer

This car has many plus points, its very quick! bags of effortless torque, smooth, quiet, comfortable, practical, and handles like its on rails when you want to hit the twisties! Like mentioned, its in a sought after colour, a sought after engine and gearbox combo, and sought after spec!

The V6 engine has an unexpectidly awesome sound track, when the revs build up it has quite an addictive growl and almost sounds like a V8, when your driving its very hard to tell its a diesel.

It has also benefited from an ecu remap which boosts the power up to 210 BHP, up from 180 BHP, and the torque figure has been increased quite dramatically too, which is around 370 ftlb, and as the car has the legendary quattro perminent 4 wheel drive system it has absolutely no drama what so ever putting all that power and torque down. But as well as hiking up the power, the ecu remap also gains better fuel economy over the factory figures, around town I average 34-36 mpg, and on a motorway run I can get an average of 48-50 mpg! Brilliant considering the power and size of the engine.

It has a full genuine S4 bodykit, consisting of front and rear bumpers, front upper and lower grilles, side door blades, boot spoiler, and genuine solid aluminium wing mirrors. All this cost an absolute fortune, to give you an idea, the alloy wing mirrors from Audi are £420 EACH! Each of the door blades are near on £100 EACH! and the rear spoiler was £170! It also has ther rear windows tinted. The bodywork is is excellent condition with no blemishes, known dents, scratches, or rust anywhere.

In addition to the S4 bodykit, I have added a Seat Leon Cupra R front bumper splitter to give the front end a bit more of an aggressive look which adds depth. I have also covered the front fog lights with yellow Lamin-x film which not only protects the fog light lenses but gives a unique 'euro' look.

The rear has had S4 style fully functional tail pipes fitted to the original back boxes.

I have recently had a set of brand new KW Varient 1 coilovers fitted which are above and beyond the best coilovers I have ever had on a car. They completely retain the factory ride quality so keep it nice and comfortable (the wife didn't even notice I changed the suspension!) yet have transformed the car when it comes to handling, its now direct, stable, and completely posed. The coilovers are fully ride height adjustabel so can be raised or lowered to suit your tastes or needs. It also has a B7 RS4 rear antiroll bar fitted which dramatically changed the rear end of the car making it a lot less twitchy under cornering. Couple these 2 mods up with the quattro 4 wheel drive system and its a serious sheep in wolves clothing!

The wheels are 19"x9.5" all round BBS LM replica alloys, with Falken FK452 tyres. They are only 1 week old!! Brand spanking new wheels and tyres which cost me £1000.

The interior has been professionally fully re-trimmed in black and plum red leather, the head rests have an embroidered 4 rings Audi logo which is a nice touch as well. This re-trim cost £1000. It also has a front centre arm rest, but sadly as this was fitted after the re-trim it remains in cloth.

Equiptment wise, it has a factory fitted RNS-D satnav unit which works absolutely perfect and has both UK and western european map cd's. The directions and satnav instructions also come up on the DIS (Driver Information System) in the instrument cluster which is a nice touch and allows you to keep your eyes on the road. Linked up to the satnav unit is a factory Audi 6 disc CD changer properly located in the glovebox, which is far far better than being mounted in the boot! It has a brilliant sound with an 8 speaker system plus a factory fitted sub on the rear parcel shelf and a factory fitted amp powering it all hidden away in the boot. It has factory fitted cruise control, dual digital climate control aircon which blows ice cold, full electrics icluding windows, mirrors, and has heated mirrors, door locks, and washer jets.

Its been maticulously maintained throughout its whole life and it really shows in its extensive service history and maintainence records. I have a folder full of reciepts throughout the years which has some very big bills in it, all ion date order. Its currently on 127k miles, and it has history back to day one. It has every mot certificate from when it was 3 years old and it has NEVER had any advisories or failures in its life!! I recently (october this year) had the all important cambelt replaced, along with the water pump, tentioners, pulleys, belts, and thermostat. On the same day I had the number 3 injector and sensor replaced due to an irratic idle, this was all carried out at the Russell Automotive Centre (Audi/VW specialists) this cost me £1100. The front brake discs and pads were replaced earlier this year (around may/june) and the clutch was also replaced in june this year. The coilovers were fitted along with an oil and filter change, and rear diff oil change in september this year, so a service isn't due for quite a while now, that lot cost me just under £1100 and was carried out by Audi/VW specialists JKM. Also it's a good time to mention that the car has pretty much had a short life service interval throughout its life, (10k mile intervals) 2.5 TDi's often have cam wear issues when they've been on a long life service interval (20k mile intervals) It also had the diesel pump refurbished last year at a cost of nearly £1000.

So in short, the car really does WANT FOR NOTHING, its had ALL major work carried out, with all major parts replaced, i.e cambelt, water pump, tentioners and pulleys, clutch, brakes, injector, diesel pump, service, suspension, and tyres. Its ready to get in, drive, and enjoy. I had the car checked out by Russell Automotive and they assured me that the car was 100% and that I had a very very solid A4.

You don't even have to worry about MOT and Tax, MOT until end of July 2011, and taxed until June 2011, and off the top of my head its had 4 previous owners, 1 of which was the original Audi dealer when it was new.

You'd be very very hard pushed to find a better A4.

PLEASE NOTE PRIVATE PLATE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE / DEAL.

Lovely looking car but I have a quick question for you, how hard was it to fit the lamin-x film and how thin and flexible was it? I've been trying to yellow tint my headlights today with different film but it was too thick and heavy and wouldn't take but your foglights look great

Free bump

Thanks,

Paul

Hi mate, lamin-x is fairly thick stuff as well, and it doesn't work too well if the light has several curves as you tend to get creases in it, i used it on one of my old audi a3's and it was a nightmare and ended scrapping it in the end, but luckily this time round it went perfectly, I made sure I heated the film with a hair dryer as much as possibly to make the film really soft and floppy, then applied the film from a corner of the light and used the plastic scrapper supplied to work the film on and push any air bubbles out at the same time, and that seemed to do the trick nicely.

That sounds like my experience yesterday and it sounds like it's only suited to dead flat light lenses I don't know what I'm going to do now because the classic headlight is quite curvy.

Thanks for the info and good luck with the sale

Cheers mate, the kw's are the dogs! The retain the standard ride quality yet really sharpen it up if you want to throw it about a bit. Well worth the price tag. I have got it on pistonheads now, got approved this morning, although for some reason it won't allow me to submit a premium advert.

I think Premium adds are about £12 now, was £7. Worth the money though. You might have to delete your add and do it again for a premium jobby. I still think a slammed german motor looks the dogs.

I think they're actually £16 now! They keep going up and up! I have an option to upgrade my advert to a premium one in my management centre but everytime I click on it it's not allowing me to do anything.

Just to let people know, if you have a car which is less than my asking price but feel it's a good enough car to offer me which I could be interested in, don't be afraid to contact me and let me know what you have to offer, the price is that much for a cash sale but if the car is right and what I'm after then I don't mind doing a swap with a lesser priced car (within reason)

Only with a hairdryer but it didn't work, I wondered whether warming up the headlights might help too.

Anyway thanks for your help

I did actually ring you a month ago seeing if you fancied a swap for a MY05 Blob STi (small amount of cash my way), but you said you had something else lined up. My car is standard guise is going to be up for £8495, but would drop that for the sake of doing a deal with you as i think your car is ace!

Its Black, standard as it stands now, 62k on the clock with full Subaru stamped service history, cambelt and clutch done last year... etc etc.

Interested?

HI mate,

I do remember you calling now! yeah I did have something lined up but it went belly up and I took the car off the market as I was a bit fed up with it all and decided to keep my car as its so good, treated myself to a new set of wheels and tyres but now find myself with a bug to sell up and get something more to my tastes when it comes to performance.

I would be interested mate and I've just had a look at your for sale thread. It looks very nice, I'd be more than interested if it had everything on it still? The only thing I'm not keen on are the wheels, but apart from those I like all the other mods you done.

If your interested in a deal as it is in your for sale thread then I'm interested. Let me know mate.

Cheers,
Arron.

As it stands in for my sale thread, it would be up at £9295ish, so based on what you said about not having cash to put towards a new project, i assumed as standard it would be a closer deal for you to make.

I have removed the Coilovers and Wheels and Gauges, but nothing that cant be put back on again in an afternoons work.

I guess it comes down to whether you have the cash to do a deal or not? My private plate is off the car, have received the Tax Disc and MOT, V5 should be coming soon so its ready to go quick soon if you are interested.

You want me to do a straight swap a car that books at over £7000 P/X Value for a car that books at less than £4000 ? Ummm...

...i was happy to look at doing a deal with you on a vastly more valuable car, standard, and a bit of cash my way, understandable i think because your car is genuinely nice...

...yet you want to do a straight swap... no cash... and you want my Modifications aswell...

...i think not...

GLWS i guess...

Don't ask you dont get! You obviously like my car as you've enquired about it a couple of times and you know my situation of not being able to put funds towards a new car, so if that's the case I don't know why you bothered to ask again??

Anyway, I don't want to clog up my thread with unnecessary chat so we'll leave it as that. Maybe you should of ripped that traders arm off for his initial offer if your still having trouble shifting your car.

GLWTS too!

Yes, but asking far far far too much is clearly just making you seem like a bit of a plonker!

I have enquired about a few different cars, yours is not the only car i have found i like, and i wasnt ruling out a deal, but it would be wayyyy off with it modified, a joke tbh!

I havent found a car i like at the right price at the stealers yet, and my car isnt currently for sale, waiting for new V5 to arrive, so looks like you have missed the point again! Oh dear. :/

And, yes you are right, i could have done... you are very correct, but clearly i didnt...

No need to get all bloody defensive and sh*tty is there? Like I said, if you dont ask you don't get! You can't blame a bloke for trying. And as for looking a plonker, I think that's you mate, should of taken all your mods off earlier and taken that px price then you wouldn't be in this situation now would you?

Anyway, why don't you go enquire about one of the other cars you say your interested in and stop wasting my time and crapping on my thread! And if your car isn't 'for sale' yet, why is it still being advertised on here then??

Thanks anyway, and bye!

You want me to stop crapping on your thread, yet you keep asking questions? OK, a little odd.

I was merely voicing my opinions, if you cant deal with them, not my concern. Ive said nothing i dont feel is justified, the price of these cars is being forced low enough as it is, adding insult to injury is just a little bit off a **** take tbh!

I have been offered that price, at a couple of garages, up to £8500ish against a more expensive car, but unfortunately not in the position to stick more cash into a car, but either way im not short of options, just none of them ideal at the moment. Im not in any 'situation', what gave you the impression i was. I love my Impreza, and by no means 'want' to get rid of it, but needs must. If i have to keep it a few weeks or months, so be it, i shall enjoy every minute of it!

My car was for sale in modified guise, but i realised i would struggle to get the sort of money a car is worth in that form. It makes sense to return it standard and sell the car separately in standard form.

I find your attitude rather amusing tbh...
