2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Hatch
So it's with a heavy heart we are looking at selling on our last of 2 impreza's owned, the first being my blobeye to a fellow member on here.
Brief rundown for you,
2008 WRX STI hatchback 2.5 ltr in Silver/Grey.
4 owners from new.
Currently on 72k miles, will rise slowly due to still being in use.
Full service history, although I only have partial paperwork of it, mostly the receipts from time in our ownership. The rest can be traced back through the dealer it was first brought from, which I did.
It had an alloy wheel replacement under warranty whilst with the first owner, plus regular oil changes.
Whilst in our ownership it has had the following,
Full cambelt and tensior change.
Water pump.
New pads and discs.
New differential oil
New gearbox oil
Verdestein Ultrac Sessanta tires, all matching.
Oil changes at 3k miles or close to.
Refurbed interior door pocket surrounds and gear stick surround, done due to previous owner leaving scratches on them. In more gun metal grey colour than before, see pics.
Miltek rear exhaust box with silencer centre pipe.
I also have a Miltek sports cat downpipe and RCM uppipe. Happy to include for the right price.
Pro-R air filter.
Standard features,
Subaru SI drive
6 speed gearbox
Xenon projector headlamps
Headlamp washers
Electric folding mirrors
Cruise control
Multi disc Subaru CD head unit
AC
17" Alloy wheels
Full STI interior, Leather/cloth combination.
Full 12 months MOT
All Work on the car in our ownership has been either carried out by Scooby Clinic, Derby Subaru or Scoobyworld.
Washed weekly with Auto Glym products.
Apart from the above the car is completely standard. Only ever run on V-power and always warmed up and cooled down. The car has covered mostly motorway miles and has never been tracked.
Bad bits.
There's always some.
Firstly the front splitter could do with a replacement as it has 2 cracks down it. These are widely available from HT Autos at just over £100 I believe. I may get around to fitting one but if not at least that gives you an idea of cost to replace.
The AC compressor pulley gave up on us just before the summer which meant no AC. I managed to source another full compressor with pulley from Jap Performance parts but have still yet to get it fitted. I've been quoted around £250 for fitting and re-gassing. These compressors are very hard to source 2nd hand and new they are close to £1000 so I was very lucky to find one.
The car is still on its OEM clutch which means the pedal is a little high, not that this has caused any issues. Just something I would look at changing if I was the new owner. Just being honest.
The only other bits to speak of are mainly stone chips to the front bumper and a small scuff on the rear corner, which may actually buff out with a good detail. It was done by another motorist in a car park who decided to drive off than rather man up Not noticeable until up fairly close to it, I have tried to picture it below.
Lastly if I'm be very picky I would either think about having the alloys re-furbed or just swap them out all together. They are starting to show there age on the insides, outside clean up well enough though. We were going to put some Rota Grids on them but a new house has swallowed all our spare funds.
Looking for £8800 as we would like a quick sale to fund the eco shed Definitely the cheapest Hatch STI on the market from what I'm aware of so no offers thanks.
Car based in Derbyshire, can be viewed in the day time on certain days or most evenings. I will conduct all test drives, can never be to careful these days.
Listed on here until the end of this week first before it goes on autotrader. Would rather it go to an enthusiast than just anyone.
Scuff mark on rear left.
Cracks to splitter.
Any questions drop me a message on here or a PM
Thanks.
