I can do either but obviously colour coding is easier due to being able to fill air holes with normal filler because of the primer/colour base to hide it.
It's a little bit tricky when everything will be on show when just clear coating and you have a hole, but I have my ways of getting round it

Ryan you can say that again, the bain of my life is the dreaded pinhole!!!!
It really is a hit and miss thing tbh, can happen even when using prepreg. We all have our little secrets on how to deal with these. im in the process of talking to a company about developing a wipe on wipe off clear colourless pinhole filler...
Chris:that clear wipe on/off filler would be great for carbon pin holes, give me a shout on the details mate
ive to send some carbon samples off so the company can do some testing, hopefully going to do a deal with them on us being the sole uk distributor, i know its a massive headache for lots and lots of refinishers and carbon manufacturers. cha ching!
