Default I want to freshen up some bits on my car. any help appreciated...

i have the hi-spec 320mm kit upfront on my classic and the calipers are gold, aswell as the disc scpacers. i want to change the colour of these but not sure if nrmal paint will do the trick? has anybody else done this? also i want to see how much it would be to get my seats re-trimmed in alcantera. im based near birmingham so if anyone knows any good trimmers that woul dbe a great help. cheers

jamie

You can use high temp paints, like engine lacquer, or hammerite. You can probably use a regular spray paint, then use high temp clear lacquer on top.
Not had any probs with hammerite after 2 odd years.

i dont really fancy using hammerite on the calipers, they cost a fair wack. the high temp lacquer sounds a good idea though. ive done rocker covers in normal paint and used that to get effect before. will prbably take me a day to get the brakes off anyway!

Use the smooth version of Hammerite, sometimes aka Smoothrite, there's not much that beats it, for around £7 a tin, easily useable, brushable with no brush marks, dries in 30 minutes, available in loads of colours inc metallics.
