Full respray - big bucks
I think you would be looking at around £1500 - £2000. When i was going to respray my golf, this is how much it was going to cost me (i think it was £1500 cash in hand)

That's what I thought. But think of it this way; I've got a MY95 with 312BHP & the paintwork is shocking I could either buy a Link or I could make my car look brand new again Not a difficult decision really??

I have looked into this and was told by 3 different bodywork shops that I should start working up from £1000 depending on how bad the bodywork is. You need to find someone who knows someone then you can half the amount.

Scoobylav, its not as easy as that though.
My uncle has a bodyshop but it is still expensive even for me! If i wanted the respray, the paint alone comes to about £800 (and im talking a proper respray where they rub it back down and respray about 3 coats not where someone just resprays the top of the car in 1 layer!).
Its bloody expensive cause they rub the car back down to metal, respray and it basically takes alot of time.
Ive seen a lot of spray jobs done where people have sprayed over the paint and it has had an accident and you can see the paint that it was before it was sprayed! Also seem some cars sprayed and 6 months - 1 year down the line they start flaking off!!
Ive tried spraying something myself before and even with help, it still didnt work. lol
If you are serious about it Maffa, ill see how much my uncle can do it for you and will try and get him down as much as i can

Money - If you could mate I would be greatful. I may just go for a full respray & bodywork touch-up in the same colour if it's too pricey as I could probably barter it down to say £1200-£1500 I guess because it's not such a big job. Although I want to go for something a bit special (colour wise)

Maffa if you're looking closer to field theres a great body shop in Horsham, I've used them for the past 9 years many many times, they can repair and spray anything and the guys who own it are also friends.
If you mail me the colour type you want your car (metallic, pearlescent, custom mix etc...) I'll get you a quote... very cash friendly when it comes to the £000's !

Everyone's friendly when it comes to cash mate
Maffa, spoke to dad and he said your looking at £1500. If you spray it the same colour and repairing, then i would guess you are knocking £500 off that price.
Get it done in diablo yello or something

Money - How the hell did you know I was looking into yellow??? That's freaky And for a grand that's a bloody good price for a same colour respray Does that include fixing dents in the bodywork & stuff? & where in the country is Middlesex? If it's up north then I may be in Manchester for a weekend in a few weeks. Doubt it's a weekend job though?
NTK - Now you know what colour i'm looking for
The problem with yellow is that there are so many differnt shades. I want something really lary like the Ferrari/Fiat Yellow or like you say the Diablo yellow (may well be the same colour?)
Keep the quotes coming & Money your dad sounds like a nice bloke to do it for that price Is he a Scooby fan by any chance?
NTK if you could get me a closer-to-home quote that matches Money's then i'd be very greatful & impressed all at the same time Can you find out if these spray jobs are definately engine out jobs or what it is exactly that they do?
Thanks guys it's greatly appreciated

p.s. has anyone had their Scooby done in Diablo yellow & if so are there any pics about?

MONEY my geography is shocking LOL
I'll see what I can do about pics but it's just general door dinks except for one 6" crease on the N/S rear wing that will need a bit of massaging out.
Cheers fella
