Question

Has anyone done this??
Is it easy/possible?

My garage is very narrow and space is at a premium plus there are far too many t055ers about catching wing mirrors when they drive past..

Thanks guys.

'tis something I've been wondering about for a while!
I dont see why not, but u'd probably need the loom that goes to the mirrors (unless it's all there already?!) & the Jap spec button pannel (coz of the FOLD button)

are they heated too ?

Cool

I've got a set that I've never got round to fixing, thought I got them colour coded...

The console switch drops straight in & the connector fits. IIRC there is a "spare" plug in there that fits in the switch as well.

However, there is at least one wire short in the mirror connectors themselves & I couldn't see a spare in the door.

It looks to me that you might have to run a wire up there (1 either side), but never got round to trying it out.

Need the services of an autoelectrician really!

2 further things...

What would be nice would be to get them heated - a la Forrester - anyone?

I also need to find out if the rectracting mechanism can be swopped from MY97 mirrors to MY99 - prefer the shape.

Or I might sell mirrors & switch (colourcoded DGM) if anyone wants? I've had 'em two years!

As I said in "projects", I'll have a word with a friend who has a WRX with a replacement door on the way. Will see what I can find out & take pics of...
