I just wonder how long he will put up with Abromovich's meddling. Maureen had enough of it, Grant was put in place because he was a yes man and I don't see 'big Phil' taking Abromovich's interfering in team affairs and transfers too well. Certainly a bloody good manager though and wonder who he will insist on bringing into the squad.

I think he went due to mutual consent as he had had enough of Abromovich's meddling in team affairs and told him so. i.e. he told Abromovich to go do one and Abromovich told Maureen to go do one and put Grant the 'yes' man in charge.

He was sacked for being an irrational lieing b@stard.
It will be interesting to see how Popeye Doyle gets on, 12-24 months and he's gone I reckon, I think Roman is taking the "Real/Barca" attitude towards managers and players, plenty in and plenty out every 2 seasons or so.
