Often wondered if he should have gone it would have been nice to have
1 seen his talent's on the bigger stage ie champion's league
2 seen him play in a top team to see if he could have raised his game higher
I guess that's the enigma that was Le tiss we shall never know!!!

I beg to differ STI, look at Southampton since he retired, I think it can safely be said that he single-handedly kept them in the Prem

Any team competing for the league or playing in Europe. Could have tried to move abroad as well. Come on If a player scored some great goals but played for a lesser team now you'd never consider them up there with the best. It's laughable. His England caps prove that managers never considered him anything but a massive luxury player. Love his goal and seems a decent bloke but would you put him up there with the likes of Zola?
