Its going to be tight....
Superb picture!
I hope Liverpool serve it up large to Jose tonight. I only dislike Chelsea because I am a Manc and they have been better than us for a while! LOL
But of late, I am disliking Jose even more with his snide little snipes at other teams, managers and officials. Rafa is one of the most likeable characters in the game and I think it is an attempt to mentally bully him because he has a nice nature. He clearly thinks he can manipulate Benitez by slagging them off. And frankly I think that is not acceptable
Some of my friends who are Chelsea fans said that they cringed when they heard what Jose said to Rafa at the press conf...and the general consensus is that he needs to stop it as its making them look a bit daft. Now, when season ticket holders of 10 years + are finding the manager a bit juvenile it hardly inspires confidence through the club.
Ok, make excuses after you lose. We should of had a penalty will be one no doubt as will 'we had injuries', 'Ballack has a sore toe' and 'Essien was locked up driving down the Old Kent Road drunk in a Range Rover the other night'. We will also hear 'we have lots of players on yellow cards' (well then perhaps teach them the importance of discipline and keeping a cool head in Europe where the cards cause you to get your best players banned over two matches!) 'the ref is poor etc etc'
But come on Jose...excuses before the match? Talk about Roll over and cry!
Did Ferguson bitch that he had three recoginsed defenders fit on Monday
In fact he simply said 'we understand we have injuries but we will give it our best shot'
Jose has been using the excuses as a white flag already
I'f I am a scouser in Chelsea tonight I'm rubbing my hands together at a very good chance of knocking them out of the Champions League
And as much as we detest the scouse I would think they (the players) and them in Trafalgar Square (the fans) want to see an attacking football match in the Final
Best of luck to both teams. Lets hope we are talking about the football tomorrow and not the ramblings of a nutty Manager
Not looked forward to a match as a neutral like this one tonight for sometime

Humble pie....<ate it>
Cole's goal was superb. That kid is so talented and a great finish
Liverpool came to the party with no beers or dressed for the occasion
I think if they play Crouch in the second leg it will be a totally different match.
Hats off to Liverpool for not allowing them to bag the away goal. That could be very important indeed

Why we relied on Zenden for crosses for the entire game is beyond me
Half time . . . it ain't over til Don Rafa sings Pleased to come away from the bridge just a goal down considering the poor performance.
Welcome to Anfield

Well done Chelski. I decided during the game that they are the lesser of two evils. Rafa is a muppet. He left Zenden on. A truely awful game and why did he start? proved to me he knew nothing! Chelski will get the away goal and the pool are out. bye bye

Congrats Liverpool, hopefully see you in the final, one game neither set of fans would ever want to lose, bragging rights for life and all that, but would still like to join you in Athens
Not a great game, Chelsea are shagged, worn out, Jose's pomposity has reached new levels, the ignorant fool, Liverpool better in the tackle, still too many hoofed ***** up to the strikers for my liking, Rafa clearly knows how to get to these finals but his football can be pretty dull at times, but it works I suppose.
