Portsmouth 'v' Man United
FFS Rio and Edders what was that display all about You could tell from the line up Fergie was concentrating on Tuesdays clash with Roma, we better win that now! Not a very good performance again. I said after the second goal we'd get one back too Couple of good chances by Ole and Smithy towards the end too. God dammit
I think a certain Pompey fan on here will be pleased anyway!

another ****e performance from Man Utd. Brown, Richardson amd Fletcher just cant cut it. They come into the side and continually fail to produce. They are players stuck on the bench and they know it.
As for Carrick, what a waste of 18million. I still to this day cant see why Fergie bought him.
and what the hell is Van Der Sar doing "parrying" the ball back to the 6 yard line? He did the same against Roma and cost us a goal. Then he goes and does it twice again today!
Utd badly miss, Neville, Evra, Vidic and Saha. Rooney is not playing well lately either.

Pompey are another classic example of a team who cheat their fans. For a team who couldn't be arsed against chelsea this was a performance that, deserved a win, but showed they cheat the fans.
I go back many years to Paul Ince's last minute equalizer for Liverpool agaisnt Manu, he did a Ketsbia on the hoardings then next game they throw the towel in against Sheff Wed away and lose 1-0.

Brown is a very capable sub for Neville. Richardson has proved time and time again this season why Fergie needs to sell him. Carricks shots go wide/over more often than not, hes getting better though. Fletcher is hit and miss, but the real disapointments today were the better players - Scholes and Giggs.

I agree about Brown - he is, and always has been, extremely solid.
I cannot comprehend why Richardson is given the opportunity to pull on the shirt. He was clearly at fault for the first goal.
Fletcher has had one of his better seasons for us. I don't think he'll ever progress to warrant a place in the starting XI, but he's been above and beyond his usual standards.
Giggs didn't look fit again, and I assume Fergie's plan was to give him the day off, but Richardson on the pitch is, at times, as bad as playing with ten.
We'll still win the league, of that I'm sure.

Pontificating
Next time you go to a Utd match watch Carrick all afternoon, his work rate is immense, distribution 2nd only to Scholes, and he has a great ability of being in the right place at the right time, yes over priced but a great buy for Utd IMHO
