Nope got to disagree.
Michael Owen is THE most OVERRATED player in the England team.
Haven't seen him do anything decent in years.
He never comes looking for the ball.
He never tracks back
He never tackles
His heading is poor (compunded with the fact he's short)
His pace isn't what it used to be
His form this season has also been poor (and has been for several seasons)
It reminds me of what Glen Hoddle said about Cole a few years ago
"an international should not need 9 chances in order to be able to put one away"
I just can't understand how he gets or justifies an automatice place.
You look at someone like Beattie who granted he's not got the experience has put more away this season than Michael but was only given 1 and a half games before being dumped.

You'd think someone would also have a word with Rooney.
He's going to get sent off if he's not careful. I'm suprised the captain is not chewing his head off for some of the things he's doing on the pitch. He's on a yellow and still shoving people in the chest.
Someone must have had said something to him at some point.
It just seems to me he's thick as sh*t and doesn't care if he gets sent off for England or not.

Rooooooooney is a world class player (or at least will be). Owen is slightly overated but then aren't most Ingeeeerlaaaand players who score bigtime early in ther careers - 'love of the nation syndrome' and all that

Just keeps giving away unnecessary fouls which cost me points LOL
Nice to see Vassell do more in 5 minutes than Owen did all game.

Owen may as well not be on the pitch. Yes he managed to angle one ball towards rooney who then scored. Other than that the lad is useless. Id rather have vassell playing as at least he has some pace and some passion.
The worst thing for english footy was when shearer retired. Now Rooney and Shearer would be a combo Id like to see.
Larsson doing Scottish football proud as well. I used to have my doubts but that lad has some serious skillz.
