Windsurf Dover to Calais

It's been done in the opposite direction: two tears ago a young Frenchman, windsurfing off Calais, got into some fog. Totally lost his way, and ended up 9 hours later
on the beach nerar Dover. No money, no way of getting back, no clothes etc.
Luckily, he was found by a nice Englishman, who took him home, fed him, lent him clothes and money, and put him on a ferry back to France.
Got that from a French local paper 2 years ago, July.
