I started fishing again after packing in football.Hadn`t fished for twenty years until last year, things have changed but now i`m getting back into it.
I usually fish Shireoaks,Sherwood forest.
Nothing better than being totally chilled in a shelter when the alarms go screaming off.
I`ve never fished the one`s you mentioned you`ll have to let me know where they are.I`ll come over for a session one day.

eddie, yeah i stopped at 15 for 10 years and got back into it in my mid 20's (30 now). ive only really ever been into carp fishing. as you say, its when everything is quiet one minute then the next thing your buzzers off. nothing gets the adrenaline up like that does.

craig, you know when your gonna catch. dont flog it. dont fish at all costs. hmmmmm, love scopex. you should try warwicks new popups......monster. i fish a mass of spodded hemp in weed free spots, planted the night before with a single stinkin' white popup over the top....no free boilies whatsoever......yeah dude

Kippax,I`ve just started with the carp scene and obviously i`m still learning the ropes.I`m just concentrating on my accuracy and presentation at the moment,it`s finding the f**kers first, all the observation side is a minefield, someone says fish here others say fish there. There`s just so much to take in:
presentation,
location,
conditions,
bait combos,
Oh I think my head is going to explode!
I`ve had them feeding on the top today, but as they seemed to be going for my bait F**King ducks and geese came in,but it gave me a chance to practice my accuracy with the catapult, managed to take out one of each.

craig,
it might look anorak but i cant recommend binoculars enough. you can see so much more. you can find bare patches and gravels bars much more easily with them. plumb around until you land the lead where you want it and clip the distance up on the line clip. then re-rig with the hookbait and cast to the clip and your hookbait should land right on top of the spodded bait.

Stu you know you said clip your line,is that the little plastic clip on your bait runner, cause I`m scared the clip will snap if it over shoots.
Hopefully I`m gunna go on a big water and practice marking out and spodding away from the rest of you guys so I don`t disturd you pro`s.It won`t be long m8 before I`m taking them twenties, thirties, thanks to a lot of practice, patience and good advice from guys like you good self.

Don`t worry Stu ,you`ll know it`s me when you see a fat bloke running b****** naked around the lake with a Korda bag of boilies clenched in my butt cheeks.
You really don`t want to witness that.

I think so,I just saw it on the internet and wandered if you`d tried it.
Me and a couple of lads from work are planning my first all nighter and this place was mentioned,do you recommend any other puddles for my first time out,but not a million miles from the south of Sheffield.

craig, if you want bigger fish try linear fisheries. for prolific waters full of smaller fish i bet there is one in your local club.
