Is there a south east/kent club?

Living down here, EVERYWHERE is quite a long way off!
What's this, not a meeting where you actually USE the cars? Thought the idea for car clubs was to sit in the boozer and bullsh1+ about horsepower?
Sounds good, when's the next one???

Russ,
Check out the thread in the general section posted on monday, "Free tickets to rally". This is the Kent forest stages in Ashford and will be held on the 8th October. I went to this last year and there were loads of Subaru owners. If you give Paul Holland a call on the numbers shown on that thread he can send you free tickets to the event and closer to the time there may be an official or unofficial meet in the morning before the event with a scoob convoy to the event although this is yet to be confirmed!
There are a few of us around, and lurking on this board, events such as the forest stages are a good opportunity to meet other local owners and hopefully arrange or gauge interests for such meets. Some of the ideas in the past have been karting at Buckmore, clay pigeon shooting at greenfields in Canterbury, usual pub style meets and possibly a trackday at Lydden. I was originally going to be arranging something at Buckmore at Christmas but they are fully booked with corporate events in the evenings and weekends for months in advance!!
Regards,
Nito

Russ,
I would also be interested in a local club/get together. I am in Thanet too. There is a red Scoob in the road next to mine as well but I haven't managed to meet the owner yet, so there are a few of us around the Thanet area.
I am going to the Challock Rally on October 8th. I rang Paul Holland at Barretts for tickets. Any Scoob owner can get tickets not just official UK owners.
I think the plan is to meet up at breakfast time at the Canterbury showroom then drive down in convoy to the rally. There is reserved parking for us and access to the Barretts hospitality tent during the meeting.

Nito,
Hi, No I am a Silver W reg MYOO, but I am in Broadstairs. I have only had the car since beginning of June and have just added the obligatory SIDC sticker to the windscreen.

Nito/Russ,
I'll keep an eye open for you both whilst I'm out and about. I am sometimes in an bright orange chrome bumpered MGB roadster (M reg) (wife's toy) too.
Nito, Have you got a pink front grill badge? If so I flashed you a couple of weeks ago on the hill between the harbour and Churchills in Ramsgate.

Hi Nito,
Yes I did see you wave/flash. I go that way, and along Dumpton Park Drive, twice a day to and from work...So I will probably pass by you again at some point on my travels
