£1.45 is a joke! If it's any more than 89p a litre they can stick it where the sun don't shine!

would this be the "urgent information" I got from BP this morning, but didn't open before work??

This is good news, cos based in Basildon the nearest Optimax stations are Southend and Dagenham! It's not worth the drive, so I always use BP's 97. And there's plenty of BP all over the place... only a couple of times on motorways have I had to use Esso or Optimax instead.

So if ALL BP stations go 100RON then I'll be happy!
Mind you, there's still a few BP's that don't do SuperPlus so maybe hoping they'll all do it is a bit pie in the sky...

Just spoke to head of customer service at BP. Basically this is all a load of bull****. 100 octane is in Greece at the moment, no plans for UK market now.

just like to 100 RON V-Power shell do. The Germans have got it - but no plans for UK.

There's a petition on Scoobynet for the Shell VPower... could start one for BP too... If one company brings over 100 RON fuel, then the other one will cos they'll be losing out on a big market. Modded and imported car owners...

Do you think companies like BP and Shell are going to "Miss out on big money"?

I think reality of it is that it cant be that big a market or these money guzzlers would have done something by now.

Well according to the BP web site,Ultimate is only 98 RON.
Until it arrives with a sticker on the pumps showing 100 RON then i am sticking with Shell!!
